Especially one that I am on his tail, he is meant to discard that moniker as that one done cast.

I don't think I have seen an official receipt that has no stamp.

He should better deactivate that moniker just like the way he abandoned john5378.

When people talk down on the job I always laugh. The job is not that bad. In fact it’s better than a 150k salary job to me. Some will rather do an 100k salary job than drive on the e-hailing platforms. It’s their choice so we all good. Agreed that the job is not easy or paying a lot of money but it's not as poor as we paint. The app companies can do better too.

According to my observation and experience, there are some factors that determine if one will make money on the job or not. Either anyone likes it not, it’s very binding and can’t be overemphasized. People makes lots of money on the job and that’s the truth while lots of people still make complaints and losses. It’s your choice to decide to make money or loss and be able to do the right things.

When I started this job in 2018, I was complaining coz I wasn’t making money, was running into debts and even borrowing money to supplement. I couldn’t even deliver 20k a week. My car was not sound too, if I make 20k, a fault of 8k is waiting for me at the corner. I was inexperienced. 8am, would still be stretching on my bed when early risers had made money and the surge that comes with morning rush and most people had gotten to their offices.

I quit the job for like 4 months but I had to go back coz I couldn’t secure another job and I was almost starving but I didn’t go back the same way. I got a tear rubber/brand new Kia used for just 6months. I sat back, think, asked questions from people that are making good profits and I restrategized. Then boom it worked. Now my average earnings weekly on the app is between 120k to 150k with 30-50k offline.

Let me enumerate a few tips or factors that many do overlook which actually has lots of influence on your earnings resulting into either profit or loss.

1. State of your choice of car. The car must be very sound and good and all parts working well. You can’t make profits with a bad car. You’ll spend the little you make at mechanic shops+ wasting time you’re supposed to be making money and more bad during rush hours. A good car is the first thing you must have if you must make profits.

2. You must know and understand destination you can go and those you must not. Some trips waste time with little profit. Pick areas you want to work and go that you’re certain of getting reasonable trips back. The app is designed to accumulate fare according to the distance covered and not actually time spent. Avoid traffic prone areas without surge. It waste your fuel and time with very little or no profit.

3. Do not always be in hurry to blow empty back to your favorite work location, hang around a bit using your destination or do trips around, after a couple of trips you might be surprised to get a trip right back around your favorite base. The more empty you blow, the more profit you’re blowing away.

4. Do not be lazy. Work hard, do not get on the road by 8 or 9am when early risers had enjoyed the money rush. Be calculative, Get out by 6am tho you have to be careful considering the security challenges in our society. When you’re out to work, do it deligently.

5. Try as much as possible to be clean and smell nice, take care of your car, let it be clean and smell good. Drive carefully, avoid scratches and dents as much as you can, be jovial. It will fetch you offline customers after a good online trips. Offline gives more profit. Once done an offline trip for 4 days with payment over 200k and 9days job on 25k daily.

6. Save more, we make daily money and it’s easy to spend and lost sight of your earnings if you’re not careful. Don’t spend just the way you earn. Prioritize your responsibility. Don’t be a Jesus or Muhammad with your finances. You can’t save the world. Asides your family and loved ones, do not be responsible to people that can’t raise or borrow you funds if you or your car breaks down. (Giving or charity is different from being responsible to people’s needs)

7. If you’re a man, try as much as possible to keep only one partner. Seen men waste their earnings on different girls. Hotels, bars and club. It eats deep into your purse. Don’t be responsible for ladies that are not your spouse or family.

8. Once in a while, spoil yourself, eat good food, eat fruits and vegetables, blood tonics, drugs and other multivitamin. Get good sleep as much as you can. You need to stay healthy and alive to work and enjoy your profits.

9. Understand and know locations to be at every period of the day. Don’t park in commercial areas in the morning expecting to get trips. Example: don’t be in VI, Ikeja -Alausa, Allen, Toyin, Awolowo both in Ikeja and Ikoyi. Trips are low at that time as people are coming in and not going from those locations. Drive to residential areas like Ogba, Agege, Egbeda, Magodo, Ajah, Lekki phase 2, Sangotedo, etc to get profitable trips that comes with morning rush. Then do the opposite for evening.

Avoid government or official areas during weekends and holidays, trip request are very low there. Go to residential areas in the morning and evening go to event centres, recreation parks and areas and beaches, cinema house, shopping malls, popular pubs, lounge and bars.

10. Try as much as possible not to stay or park where lots of drivers are parked waiting for trips xpt during rush hours or there is surge. I know that might sounds funny but according to my observations, it works. Stay somewhere far away from them. Request at times leaves drivers in a choky location to meet driver that is just driving into the area or to one getting close to drop off.

11. Use a very good phone with better GPS, RAM and microprocessor. Phones that are low at these picks request very slow, reads fare poorly, and may even close the app on trip. It’s also bad at map routings.

12. Be consistent at work. On your first day on the job or after coming from a break or holiday, it’s hard to point to your earnings even if you make money that day. You may not be able to lay hold on the cash. Maybe it’s on your app as card trips or whatever. You start seeing your earnings on the second or third day of consistent work. So if you’re doing one day off and on at the job while having no other job, I’m sorry for you.

I did salary job for 4years, couldn’t get an apartment. Was staying with a brother. After understanding this job, and going back to it, took me 9months to save an get an 2bd apartment on the mainland.

This is not to flaunt whatever, it’s to encourage anyone that the job isn’t as bad as many says and with proper planning, you could still meet your targets and live fine.

May God help us and bless us with wisdom. Thank you very much.
