Good evening all. Please and please, gurus in the house help your sister. I am a graduate with a Bachelor degree in a health course. I’ve applied to different jobs in the UK both private jobs and NHS jobs and all I keep getting is an “unsuccessful” message. I feel so frustrated trying again as I have applied to over a hundred jobs!
Please help me: How do I apply and get a job?
Secondly, can those of you who have gotten health care and carer jobs help me with names of companies I can apply and get? Please I’m loosing it already.
Thank you everyone
I must commend your effort, you are doing a good job, I would advise you slow down on NHS application for now, reasons are, the NHS seems to have placed restrictions on Sponsorship for Nigerians and are mostly quoting Who and the red list as a major reason, this is based on my own assumption.
I would advice you take up a course on care specifically. I took diploma in care on Alison. Have a year of experience even if its live-in-care. Then you can storm care homes, domiciliary care providers and live-in-care companies with your C.V. If you have applied a month before, apply again and always send direct messages through emails on their site. This puts your CV in their faces. Be prayerful and keep trying all you need is a yes after all. Get all your documents because when you get a job it might put them off if you don’t have them and go and learn how to drive a manual transition vehicle. Get your international driving permit and be ready with your money to apply for visa. You have the time to prepare and be ready please do it. Goodluck to all of us

Just commot eye for NHS. Focus on care homes. Look for the ones that just received their sponsorship license.

Thank you so much dear. I appreciate the prompt response. I forgot to add that I’m presently working in a non health related organization which may not definitely give me the opportunity to work elsewhere. Also, please how do I get the care course? Physically or virtually?

Again, thank you.

I got mine from Alison I just did the course, I have not paid but added it to my cv. For the reference ask your friends if you can use their names as reference and add them as people you did live-in-care service for. You can cover few years with three people. You can do courses with Florence academy and download the certificate add as other trainings. I hope this help.

from research you can pay by using a dollar account, flutter wave or paga. Your naira card won’t work. Paga and flutterwave can give you virtual international cards you can pay with. Please google these options read up and try it

Hey guys. I want to drop a few interview tips. This is just based on what I have done with good result. Might not always work.

I've had 3 interviews. I have been successful at 2, awaiting response for the 3rd one. The 3 interviews were less than 15 minutes. One of them was 6 minutes 37 seconds. I was told that I'd be employed before the interview ended.

Firstly, You need to involve God. Very important.

During the interview, it is important that you speak as much as you can. If you are asked a question, don't just give a short response. I was scheduled for an interview of 30 minutes, at the 12th minute, the manager told me that she does not have any more question to ask me, she said I had already talked about everything she needed to ask.

Secondly, don't keep a serious face, smile. Answer your questions with a smile. You could chip in a soft laughter at the right time. My 3 interviews, we have always had that laughter. You can not be taking care of patients and be frowning. Show them how good you are at it.
It got the extent that, when the manager is asking me a question, she's smiling already, if I am quiet thinking about an answer to a question, she's giving me that big smile. I am also returning the smile, then answering the question in a not so serious way. PLEASE AND PLEASE, NO GO DEY SMILE DEY TALK RUBBISH.

Thirdly, Please Google about the care home. Even if you are not asked anything about the care home, you have several opportunity to chip it in when answering some of the questions. You could chip in when the care home was found, how many rooms, their ratings, values etc. It will always give you an edge.

Fourthly, Don't join the interview late. I was scheduled for an interview 12:30. I was online with Microsoft teams as early as 12:20. We started the interview before 12:30. Put on a shirt. Look neat. Let it be a quiet and professional background. Use good network. Dial *21*17010# to block incoming calls. Dial #21# to cancel.

Lastly, Pray to God. You can never go wrong with that

Do you mean HCA doesn't need need prove of English , explain please
dramacox:
UKVI general is what you need for visa application.

Note:

IELTS for UKVI General Training
This test is for test takers wishing to migrate to the UK and for those wishing to train or study below degree level.

HCA required GSCE which is below degree.

Abeg no waste money

I have done mine and I scored band 6

Hello sir,
Please did you get all these from Nigeria?
Are you in Nigeria?
Do you have the right to work in uk?
Do you already have a visa?
Are they working towards giving you a certificate of sponsorship?

From my little experience boss, it's easier to land a Job with a yes to all the above than a no to them!

I have several offers already in my email but we cannot proceed further!

So please can U help with the answers?

You really can't blame them for squeezing their face. We have been used to very silly HR here in Nigeria. Who born you to smile for interview room. I made sure I dropped every Nigerian mentality going into those interview. Smiling sends a lot of message to the interviewer. Another important factor, make sure you're calm, no need to rush in answering any question. Tell them to repeat the question if you don't understand it. Sometimes when they ask me a question, I will paraphrase the question back to them and ask if that's what they meant. Oyigbo no get problem.
Btw, I have always used my phone for every interview. But I keep it at angle so they can see from my stomach upwards..

I even used some words that even she (interviewer) didnt understand.. . . now, she asking me to explain the thing (need to be exactly sure you know what you saying though).. . ..

I was on phone the whole time too.. .. the microsoft thing was trippin, so they could only see me BUT not hear me on microsoft teams .. . . So for visuals, we was on microsoft teams .... BUT for audio, we was on whatsapp on my phone ...

Bottom line anyways , is like you said.. . SMILE / SHOW UP DRESSED TO IMPRESS / ASK TO REPEAT CERTAIN QUESTIONS / HAVE FUN WITH THE THING (If you know what i mean)

You can imagine how your interview went.. That's effort and grace.. I made the mistake of answering a question wrongly because I didn't here them properly, as the interview continued, I realized what she was trying to say, so at the end of the interview, I told them.that they asked me a question earlier on but at that point I didn't understand it, but now I do. I repeated the question and then answered it. They added the points.

Though they are the ones that haven't gotten back to me.

Do you have any offer now?

You can imagine how your interview went.. That's effort and grace.. I made the mistake of answering a question wrongly because I didn't here them properly, as the interview continued, I realized what she was trying to say, so at the end of the interview, I told them.that they asked me a question earlier on but at that point I didn't understand it, but now I do. I repeated the question and then answered it. They added the points.

Though they are the ones that haven't gotten back to me.

Do you have any offer now?
