Russia has stopped supplying gas to Germany, so Germany is considering taking over the properties of Russian companies when they close their operations in Germany.

So Russia is this important and issues were not well handled by all European nations till so many lives were lost and property destroyed and now this uncertainty of the availability of gas/energy

Does nationalising those companies guarantees supply of gas and oil from Russia. Will it not make Russia cut off completely? However, if the intensuon is to nationalise so that banks believe they are dealing with Germany instead of Russia, then maybe there is a bit of sensebif not, makes no sensse to me because those companies do not generate gas they only get what comes from Russia. instead

Germany want to take over two major Russian companies that supplies gas and make them Government property.

It is like seizing an investor company. Under international relations, it is called exproipration as it means destroying a foreign investor's investment.

Generally it is supposed to be punishable by an international arbitration Tribunal like the ICC if the Russian owners had a signed arbitration clause with Germany for uninterrupted operation.

However, there is a war and Russia and Russians are being made to suffer. So for now, no Tribunal will heed to any complaint.

The investors going to Court will be useless as they can't expect a Nation court to rule against it's own in desperate times.

so how will it help Dem acquire gas?... The gas is coming from Russia gazprom and rosfnet are just middle men dat facilitate the selling of gas to Germany... If Germany uses up the reserve they still need gas from Russia in the long run...
