Oilpussy, even if someone present that map as record you should challenge it. Babangida Aliyu was governor of Niger under Jonathan and he was PDP. All the federal constituency in Niger was won by PDP. That's just one out of many like that where PDP is majority. Niger is in NCentral but I use it to disclaim authenticity of what that map represents. It is inaccurate.

State election is different from Presidential election..
Ibrahim Shema was the PDP governor of Kastina state from 2007 to 2015 when Buhari was sweeping the whole Kastina during presidential election.. The immidate past governor of Kastina is a PDP governor..But during the presidential election the result is always different until APC governor took over in 2015

Katsina is not a good example to use to prove lack of support base for Buhari pre-2014.

I am here to learn..

I opened this thread because someone told me that Tinubu is more influential that Buhari because he helped him to win 2015 election..

Now the question is...Where is Tinubu's Political Stronghold in Nigeria.. ?

Buhari as a notherner has NE and NW as his stronghold in Nigerian politics which started reflecting since 2003 when he began the struggle to become the president of Nigeria..Buhari has been winning the both regions since 2003 until extra two regions joined his train in 2015 hence his victory..

Buhari as a northerner has a regional support base since 2003 making him to score 2/3 in his region which is a good mark... ( NE and NW)

Obasanjo a southerner also scored 2/3 in his region ( SE and SS)as well in 1999 and 2003 as well before looking outside (north) for support.

Jonathan a southerner equally scored 2/3 ( SE and SS) in his region before seeking for support of other people outside his region..

Can Tinubu claim to have a stronghold of a region that he's not from ?
Can he also score at least 2/3 in his southern region like every other Presidents ?

Buhari’s traditional strongholds plus his own.

NW + NE + SW and parts of NC & SS. Coincidentally the regions with the highest registered voters.

He will rely heavily on PMB’s structure in the North and we will deliver. Most BSO’s in the North are what morphed into TSO’s. Know this and know peace.

But Buhari has shown times without number that he is not for Tinubu. I mean, see what has been happening in APC under Buhari's watch. From the removal of Oshiomhole, to the endorsing of Buni now and again, to the rejection of Tinubu's chairman candidate to the imposition of his. Have you also forgotten this statement, "You can't sit in Lagos and determine zoning in APC"? Do you truly not see the clear signs or are you feigning ignorance? I wonder brother grin

I have personally provoked him in the past yet he maintained his decency and a belief in equity and honorable conduct.

You IPOBians will never smell Aso Rock whether directly (Obi) or by proxy (Amaechi) so keep up the noise.

That noise is all you haters of the "Zoo" have so continue to loud it impotently.
In your heart, do you feel Tinubu is the right option for NIGERIA?

Bro how far? I think you know who this is. Why don't you consider a career in politics? Progressive Northerners like you are the future of your region.

We have bantered here before and I think people like you can relegate the old conservatives to turn around the future of the North and shame your detractors.
Too late. Except you take fanatical religion out of their heads, the north will remain backward and a clog in the wheel of progress.

Ouotasystem, arrrewa and the others thought they could use NL to whitewash the backwardness of the north but it didn't work because when they open one propaganda thread, the next you hear is Kaboooom.... blood everywhere! Chickens littered the streets, and the dogs and the baboons.

So stop patronizing that guy because he pressed your Mumu button.

They don't know what goes around comes around. They picked a Fulani man over Nigeria just because he was to give their brother vp ticket and now the Fulani immigrant even far failed compared to their Ijaw neighbor.

Do you think @Dsalvo doesn't know? Someone that his name is quota system. Tell me, is there anything good in quota system except the fact that it gives a flawed advantage to the Fulani immigrants. As at today is Buhari observing quota system in his appointments, AG, IG, Auditor, MD, GM 80% of positions on tv today is being occupied by one ethnicity that migrated from the fouta d'jallon.
The Yoruba that enabled him today are being schemed out in terms of appointments, last I checked it seems Buhari is even getting more friendly with those in the Niger Delta, Trickster.

You don't win presidency if you loose those two zones. In addition to getting majority votes, a candidate must also beat the state quota for 2/3 of 36 states + FCT.

So Jonathan could not have won presidency without NW and NE combined, that's a whooping 13 states.
Jonathan lost the whole northwest+Niger state.
In the northeast, he only won Christain-dominated states like Adamawa and Taraba.
The key to winning elections is winning the North Central decisively + 2/3 of your zone.

Lol. I have no mumu button anyone can press. I know the guy here . Say what you want but we are all sectionally biased to an extent.

It does not mean we will then reject what is in the greater good of society. Even though you do not want to believe so, there are many decent Northerners not comfortable with how the North is being led and how Buhari and a core group of trusted insiders are handling the affairs of Nigeria.

Who are the biggest vixtims of nanditry and terrorism other thsn Northerners? You think all Northerners are happy with that?

There are many progressive Northerners. That QuotaSystem guy is one of them in my opinion.

We don't always see eye to eye and don yab each other well well sef but I see the big picture about people and situations. Something I think you Igbos are not blessed with.

You're all very rigid, intolerant and judgemental

Im still on it. Which is, our democracy is a mathematically derived winner takes all!

Popularity is one thing...but political support base is another, and Buhari did not have a 2/3 support base in North, though he may be popular.
He did by the consistent election results from the core north.
