Since we have Abu, Mane, Salah around Nigerian players won't even smell African best...
How dare he insult Monaco prince, African best player winner, champion league winner and an established player...
If Salah, Aubameyang, and Mane were also playing in the Ikpeba era, you think Ikpeba will win Africa's best? These guys presently are ridiculously good, churning out crazy stats every season.

Salah is even too good for Africa's best presently, his stats and performance is Baloon d'or contender every year.

Rohr was not a good coach.
What did he achieve?
Keshi achieved a lot more in much less time A coach that does not believe in our home based players is no good
We have NEVER won anything without home based players
Yeah , the ojuelegba Guardiola was better grin

Did osimhen come out of the blues to speak about victor Ikpeba. In Newton law of motion for every action there is an equal and opp reaction.Osimhen zeal in that game reminded me of a match super eagles lost in a tournament and Martins was crying..It’s always easy to criticize ,praise his efforts in that game before citing his weaknesses

No one is saying he didn't do his usual gra gra (he really needs to calm down cos the injuries are suspensions are as a result of this) but what we are saying is that given the importance of the match and the scores at that time he should have done the simple basic thing. Bring the ball down and shoot facing the goal. Btw sef how many acrobatic goals has he scored in his entire career.

Good for ikpeba if he feels disrespected. he deserves it for criticising a lad who always gives his best in the field of play.
Yes giving his best without sense ?

Yes running around the pitch without strategies, what was the end result ?

Football is more than power play, it's all about the smart and doing the right thing at the right time !

This is the kind of nonsense opinion those NFF members and super eagles ex players were giving last year that pressured NFF to sack Rohr for Eguavoen despite doing nothing wrong, just because they wanted to sound like good pundits.

By all standards, Rohr did nothing wrong to warrant that sack, but we listened to ex super eagles players turn pundits to pressure us into sacking him because his team doesn't play tiki taka grin

They will probably continue by pressuring and brainwashing people that Osimhen is also a bad striker and should be dropped too, just the way the convinced a lot of people that Rohr was a bad coach.

We're not on the same page sir.

Can you imagine this small urchin disrespecting ikpeba ...football is a funny game be careful osimen you might be talented but it will be useless if you are with a team of underachievers like the current eagles we have ...By the time you retire nobody will know you as a great player it takes a national team to step up ....Look at the nigerian team of 94 every single player is remembered...let me say no more

Victor Ikpeba should've respected his age and himself.

The way and Manner he talks was as if Victor Osimhen deliberately took that bicycle kick. To me , there's no way Osimhen could have kick the ball more than that, the situation at that moment demanded that style.

Are you ok. Must he respond to every criticism

Oshimen will surely regret his outburst with time, Ikpeba was the "Prince of Monaco," also one time African player of the year. Oshimen still have a long way to go in football.

He still has alot to learn and listening to constructive criticism will do him a whole lot of good. He should watch Benzema, just know where to be at the right time then conserve ur energy. See how he scores effortlessly

See,I think Ikpeba too was irresponsible with his analysis. At times, decision making in football is a spur-of-the moment thing. You need to have the presence of mind to execute certain acts. Marco Van Basten's near-impossible volley in the 1988 European Championship,Robin Van Persie's many volley goals; Wayne Rooney's impeccable bicycle kick goal; Kanu's back-to-the-goal goal against Brazil in Atlanta 96 and on and on. These things are instinctual at times. It's a split second thing. If his efforts had resulted in a goal ,Ikpeba wouldn't have said this.
A lot of these pundits ,for me,most times, spew out pompous rubbish.Gary Neville,Jamie Redknapp,Gabby Agbonlahor,Stan Collymore- all of them - at times ,switch off from the practical realities of what they analyze.

Ikpeba is a former international footballer turned pundit, and is paid to give his opinions based on his experience and knowledge in the sport.

There was nothing disrespectful in what he said. Here's an excerpt;

"Victor Osimhen is a good player, but is not yet a finished article, forget he’s playing for Napoli.

Some of those crosses he might have controlled instead of trying to do a bicycle kick.

“He’s still a young player but I hope that he can improve where he is in Napoli and help the national team in the future.

“He needs to understand when to play the ball and when to play bicycle kicks.”

Nothing here warrants Oshimen calling him names like Agbaya. Oshimen needs to grow up.

But it’s ok for Ikpeba to single him out for criticism while Ogunefon the coach who lack awareness and tactics should be praised. Why was Ogunefon not criticized? The idiot of a coach still went all out to insult the players, who does that? A coach that didn’t know that his opponent switched to back 5 until he was told
by one of the players, how’s that one a coach. Man is clueless asf . Make una dey get sense
lol. But wait o,he didn't know his opponent switched to 5 at the back? Which player told him pls?
Joke aside though, eguavoen should not have been appointed at all,the man has zero tactics.

Pride goes before a fall ,but victor ikpeba was right, when u are in a crucial match like that ,you must utilise your chances of scoring goals ,we didn't need beautiful display of skills ,we needed a simple goal to qualify but he was too immature to see the point..now he is back in his club and will watch the world Cup like the rest of us ,he tried sha but that his useless bicycle kick was not appropriate at that material moments

You have sense..I am not sure alot of people commenting on here read and understood the point Victor Ikpeba was making.

Eguavon who was tactically terrible and did not notice that the Ghanaians had switched to a 5-4-1 formation was right there in the studio when Ikpeba made that statement but he Ikpeba din't call Eguavon out, he rather attacked our best player of the both games.

Ikpeba did not mention Moses simon and Aribor who threw away 1-on-1 chances and Uzoho who gave a cheap goal.

Ikpeba was later asked if he thinks Pinnick deserve blame too but he could'nt answer.

All of you supporting Ikpeba shud just getaatttt!!!
