You will have to register on the DStv app with your serial number, phone number, email etc associated with you DStv decoder.
So, I don't think it'll work without a Decoder

But, you can download startime app. I think it work without decoder. Good for local TV and Europa football

Depending on the resolution you set it on.

If at lowest, a football match is about 185mb.
At medium, 350+ mb.

Four people can use it.

Last year, it was my neighbour that gave me a password. Then January, my cousin gave me.

The consumption of mb is the same. What matters is that there's an active subscription in the main decoder.

Yeah that's what I mean activating the app with the details of ur decoder. If the consumption is same then I dnt need the password. But I have a friend who said someone charged him 2k to use his decoder details. If there is no difference in MB consumption then why someone will charge u just for using his decoder password? Because he wanted to charge him noni.

The owner pays for the sub.
The person the owner gives the password is watching for free. So he charged him.

It's like having a Netflix account.
You pay for the Netflix and then you collect money from someone who wants to watch by giving him your details.
