In 2018 Ajibade didn't play in the wings , in the first game she started as an Attacking mildfielder and the Final she started as the striker
Okay but it still goes with my point that she didn't have a position.

Here I said Esther Okoronkwo seems to be the best Option to start alongside Asisat Oshoala and Ifeoma Onumonu to me with the little qualities i highlighted, I never said she was better than Kanu or Ordega neither did I say the two other are better than her...
Why are u dribbling like Bebetohuh U said she was the best option. Wat else does that mean in English?

Schemerkhiz:
Yeah Esther Ijeoma Okoronkwo seems to be the best option between the 3 of them, can take on defender with her Skill and also deliver dangerous ball into the box. Good at tracking back to help out in defense..

Currently has 4goals and 2assists in 17 League in the FEMININE DIVISION 1 in France, this is her first season playing pro and her Clubside currently sit at the bottom of the table..

At the Summer Series she had a goal disallowed for an offside against Jamaica..

This past AWCON qualifying game against CIV she Scored 1goal and 1assist.

She has a position she's a striker , she's just versatile she can play anywhere in the front 3 and also a attacking midfielder

Eeeehh...

Excluding her U20 performance, If you have been watching Oparanozie from 2010 till 2016 you would know that she used to be a quick 9 not as fast as the likes of Oshoala and Ordega though but she was fast then...

Her pace reduced drastically from early 2017 till now, even when she was so robust from the period of 2012 till early 2014 she was quick enough..
It is a hard sell to get people to believe that the lady in those 2 pictures is slower than the one here

Ayinde has been out for far too long , don't expect to get back 100% Ayinde u used to know she has probably lost a pace or 2 now

Man, this was absolute domination by Morocco from start to finish! I wouldn’t be surprised if they advance as far as the semis cos this Moroccan team are very fluid in attack

I wouldn’t start Ayinde at the AWCON, and would rather go with the trio of Ajibade, Ucheibe, and Otu. Then Ayinde could be introduced as a sub in either the 2nd or 3rd group games
Re: Nigeria Female National Teams' Thread by isan(m): 11:24pm On Apr 13, 2022
For the national team she's a mildfieder Since Okobi has fallen off waldrum has prefer Ajibade over payne for the attacking midfielder role

BascoVanVeli:
She's not a better option than Uchenna Kanu.
I disagree she makes better decisions within and around the box than Uchenna. Kanu might have better shots outside the box but most times makes the wrong call under pressure.

There are situation whereby one player will be better than than the other and still sit on the bench, Is not just about being good but she would brings to the table..

Here I highlighted that Esther Okoronkwo will combine well with Oshoala and Onumonu than Franny and Kanu.

Esther Okoronkwo tactical awareness looks top notch to me!

Rash was simply impressive.

Rasheedat is a very good player but she need to be polished very well for that position, she made some unnecessary turns, sometimes a simple pass would be okay. her shots are always on point, always on target. I also like the way she control the midfield.

When was thishuh When did u see Uchenna make a poor decision? It is better that u say u like Okoronkwo better than to come up with things that are untrue

So do u agree that u said she was a better option than the rest or not undecided

Now where is your proof that Okoronkwo will combine better with Oshoala? There is absolutely no proof of that statement. So is it Uchenna that doesn't have tactical awareness? When u like a player over another u just start saying anything

This isn't a matter of like Sir, If it's because of having affinity and personal relationship with them Uchenna Kanu comes first, am only speaking from my own point of understanding their game and style of Play!.

You can stand with ur points and choice..

If Franny was still inform and Playing her usual sweet game, I don't even think we would be debating on this but who to come in when she's tired..

They were not clinical in front goal, very wasteful and it could get ugly for them if they play against a better team.

But u had no proof of anything u said boss. How can Okoronkwo who had maximum of 5 matches with Oshoala have a better connection than some who played with her since she was 17? It just doesn't add up. Plus there is no video proof of this said connection.

How anyone in their right mind can say she is not fit to be captain of the Super Falcons is not only ridiculous, but incredibly stupid.

She is fit to be captain but it doesn't mean she should be made captain. Best players are not always captains of their side. For me I prefer older members of a team who are still in form preferably in defense or midfield positions as captains.

Oshoala still Falcons captain, insists Waldrum

Johnny Edward
15 April 2022

Super Falcons coach, Randy Waldrum, has dispelled media reports (not in The PUNCH) that Barcelona Femini forward, Asisat Oshoala, has been stripped of the team’s captaincy, PUNCH Sports Extra reports.

The American insisted that there had been “no fallout” between him and Oshoala or any member of his backroom staff.

In Oshoala’s absence, Onome Ebi has captained the team in their last three games, fueling speculations that she may have been stripped of the armband.

“There are no issues with Asisat and I don’t know where the reports emanated from that she had been stripped of the team’s captaincy,” Waldrum told The PUNCH.

“Those reports are incorrect and not pleasant.

“She remains the captain of the team and whenever we decide otherwise the entire backroom staff will meet and agree on who takes the armband.

“Asisat is recovering well and you know when a talented player like her gets injured and is out for a significant period of time, it’s always difficult for them mentally and psychologically. But she is surrounded by a great club and good people who support her a lot from here. She knows she’s a big part of what we are doing here moving forward.”

Meanwhile, Oshoala is expected to resume full training with Barcelona next month ahead of the 2022 Women’s Africa Cup of Nations billed for Morocco from July 2 to 23.

She is currently undergoing rehabilitation from the thigh injury she sustained while training with the Falcons in February prior to their WAFCON qualifying play-off against Ivory Coast.

His response to EaglesTracker on the subject pretty much affirmed this. It's obvious this was an NFF decision and the coach isn't in the know. You'll notice when the news came, the comment attributed to the coach was hearsay from an anonymous NFF official. Sadly it has been legitimised on all NFF official platform (cause they now refer to Onome Ebi as Captain on all social media platforms). Randy will need a lot of wisdom to handle this cause Onome seem to be playing along.
