Congrats

This your annual salary is high for senior carer role for 40 hours .... do you mean 20800.

Thanks. It’s 50 hrs per week on my offer letter. No ooo, it’s not 20,800.

You are a good person.

Where in UK are you heading to, are you buying ticket from wakanow.com or directly from the airline website, which is cheaper and is it one way or round trip ticket you will buy?

All the best.

I'm heading to bedford and yes I'm buying a one way ticket from wakanow because it's cheaper. I'm flying BA too

Hummmm .... let be careful of what we accept . Mandatory 50 hours per week is not easy ooo. Especially if its a nursing home. If its support work maybe but if its nursing home to do 50 hours dey age body fast ...

But I guess you see how it goes. Entry is more important, if it gets too much you apply for another job and as they say ....we move

No, you can't. Nigerian liscense is what it is called... NIGERIAN. UK driving laws are not the same with ours... Get your international license and save yourself the stress.

And before you ask, yes I know someone over there who couldn't use his Nigerian liscense. Except if you somehow never go through a police check, you'll need an international license

You can actually use your Nigerian driving license for a year over there in the UK, except the license itself will expire before the said one year.

This 50 hrs per week is on a high o, when you are not doing overtime. 40 hrs at most is ideal but what can I say, na to japa first is the main thing..

Please ma, did you submit any care certificate or level 3 diploma in health and social care for your visa? I am asking because one of the mandatory points is Job at appropriate skill level. Thanks

10 hours for 5 days in a week isn't bad for a start. Average care home is 12 hours per shift for 4 days. That's 48 hours per week. Personally, I don't see any difference though.

If you add overtime to your normal work hours, you'll be exceeding that 50 hours. So it's all the same

I did not have any care degree or certification. Your CoS shows you have the appropriate job that qualifies you for the visa.
However, you can't generalize with my case. So feel free to include certifications when making your application.
Also, there are no hard and fast rule to these things, the mandatory documents stated on the ukvi site are CoS, police cert and TB cert. Any other additional document should be based on your circumstances and discretion.

KLM seems to be nice and cheaper than BA.
Why not give it a try?

I wish you success all the way.

We shall surely meet in the Queens own country.

Hello house, I'm new here... My brother is on the process on migrating to the UK via the UK carer visa.

Please I have some questions, would need your sincere answer.

Someone told us that Nigeria has been restricted from applying for the UK carer visa, please how true?

Secondly, do we need to get IELTS done?
What other requirements are needed?
Will sincerely appreciate your kind response, thank you!

Working overtime is different from your contracted hours.
Please be careful of what you sign.
If he is working overtime at this hours it’s optional
Now that he signed 50 hours per week it means he can’t work less than 50 hours per week. Meanwhile, do you know some companies pay extra for overtime? He could even choose to work overtime with them or work overtime with agencies after 6months but with this he is being committed to work 50hours every week with that company.
If you work overtime you can choose to work one extra shift in two weeks or whatever way it suits you.
Don’t encourage what is not right. I don’t even have anything against him picking up this job but i am just educating other people.

Averagely, please sign 37-39 hours highest 40 hours. Don’t start what you cannot finish. It looks easy until you get there and its not funny. If you work overtime that one should be on your own term so that anyday way body week you. Person go fit easily rest.

FYI. https://www.gov.uk/maximum-weekly-working-hours/weekly-maximum-working-hours-and-opting-out
Note: Regular full-time hours are usually from 35/37.5 - 40 hours a week. Overtime can shoot it up to 48 hours but to work over 48 hours and not more than 60 hours, an opt-out clause is required to be signed
