It will burn ur energy and car will breakdown on time. (Both u and car will wear out, well car is not yours grin rental cars dey suffer for Lagos )
Don’t allow rider change trip back to base, once she tells you , she going back to base just change destination on drivers app to d closest street or house number to hers, if not you will be driving back with 200# for return trip. I can’t say too much cos riders, partners and barely car owners are watching.

I like your spirit, keep it up
Wetin person pikin go come do like this?
This your advice is just full of hoodlumism. embarassed

Come are you the one doing maintenance of your rented car? The other day you ask for something else now it's ATF oil u are asking of I hope you don't ask for half engine tomorrow.

Owner should be responsible for maintenance of their car it's their property you're simply renting it reason why your paying heavily for it.

Rental companies maintain their cars unless when the renter damages the car then he's meant to fix it otherwise renter has no business fixing owners car.

But one won't blame them, some fufu will even collect it for 40k and still agrees to maintain as well so why won't owner do shakara
Boss, I was asking on behalf of the owner. cool
And I never asked for something else oooh. Be like say you're mixing it up, boss. shocked

Are you sure this deal is on HP? I mean who signs a HP deal and still relinquishes the car to the owner during the weekend?

As long as the driver has never defaulted, he’s the owner (temporary) of the car. The only time the real owner should be in possession of the car is when the driver defaults.

Why we dey do like this for naija sef. Does the man not know the meaning of HP? The story no clear abeg.

Like meself I don't even understand, like a lot of us don't know that HP business has a legal backing of the federal republic of Nigeria.

I can't say anything about this issue until I see a copy of the agreement btw the hiree and hirer.

@ peacefulhome, pls don't keep mute bout this issue save that man's life, look for a way to talk to your husband to get a legal consultant involve in this matter.

Drafting a HP paper without getting a legal practitioner involve is already an offence on its own, in essence, I'm 100% certain the owner did copy and paste.

Get the police involve, then a legal consultant to formally correct the agreement else that man will lose that car.

Approaching a bank for a loan to offset the payment is not the best way to the problem.
Instead let him use that loan if successful to get a car of his own because that HP deal has already gotten k-leg he won't have a smooth ride driving that car.

I doubt both of them are educated because educated people can't do such a foolish thing like this.

You're right but in this instance the owner uses the car on weekends, that unfair.

There's nothing unfair here but unlawful and criminal, an attempt to steal and defraud .

That owner isn't aware of what he's doing at all... Police will change it for him if he's not careful.
This is a criminal offense.

I love your post Boss...
Truth is, until the man comes in here to tell the full story, whatever advise we're dishing out na just our emotional opinions. It has already been stated that he was desperate, however there are a few other assumptions to this story:

1. The man may not have had proper knowledge of what HP is. If all he knew about was rentals then the excitement of getting the car after full payment may have been the reason for accepting this deal.

2. There may also be a couple of "perceived benefits" by the man in the contract. Until we see the contract, we can't fully understand it

Recently someone taught me that if it's not written down in a contract, do not assume it as true. Even if you've been told by mouth, let it be stated expressly because in court there's no "he said". Even if you recorded it, it could still be denied.

There's also a lesson in this story on contentment. Sometimes we do not need to be content. Because like say this brotherman no speak up, him for no know say him dy bad deal. Imagine that he's almost done half the deal.

Contentment and humility must be built on the right knowledge...full knowledge o!

Pearl1910:
I just want to correct some assumptions from this unjust HP deal
1. That car is toks. 4m HP on a naija used car. Abi na naija used Venza? grin
2. Partner collects and uses car only on Fridays, not all weekend.
I am sure there is a catch for driver to allow Partner do this.

Now, on the issue of dropping car on a daily, I am sure driver and partner leave in thesame vicinity so it's not a stress, and probably partners house is more secure than drivers house. (Just thinking out loud)
Nobody will do HP and be parking car in partners house and take transport home and back again the next morning, as a demand of the partner.

@Peacefulhome
Please, Lets hear from the Driver
1. What is he getting from partner for allowing him use his car for one full day? Cos even if he wants to use Fridays as rest day, the car also should be resting. U cant drive and kill my car while I am paying u complete money. Is partner dropping something for the day he uses d car?
2. What's d real reason for parking d car in partners house on a daily basis?

Sir, in this uberBolt hustle, there is. Owner can not be expecting such amount and restrict driver to a certain days to work. Even in rental agreement almost all of us here know that #25-30k is the standard and drivers determined when to work or not. That's why it's good to seek information!/knowledge /advise from experienced people before jumping into any agreement. I just pity the driver.

What is obtainable is different from standard remember it was once 50k. Same thing goes for football and music, they will use monkey to lure you and if you accept by signing such deal, then it's on you. If there's one thing I have learnt about us, we are not good at honouring contract. With time people will start calling and begging for review like we didn't enter into the contract with clear eyes. Same thing Mikel did with Chelsea.

Okay, so this month makes it approximately 6minths since I started using my Mercedes Benz c200 compressor for ehailing business in Lagos State and since then I've gone to almost every bad and terrible road both in Lagos and outside Lagos State.

Maintenance have been very limited with spare part very much available, affordable and cheap. I made a good relationship with mechanics so mechanic as never been an issue.

All along I've change the following parts

Stabilizer linkage rod- 4k
Lower arm bushings 3k for both legs
Steering buckles 2k
Linkage 3k new one
Side mirror... The car came with a bad one... 5k for one
1 mirror alone driver's side 2k

Radiator water can... Ladipo boys use me chop for this very part sotey my motor do over heating more than 4 times they kept telling tokunbo is better, since I replaced it with a brand new one for 10k I've had peace.

I have done servicing 2times and still chasing 5k miles after my 2nd oil change

2 times I've also change breakpad, 1st one was after 13k miles

Last week I changed one if my door after a trailer jam the back door left bought it for 10k.
The way German constructed the door once it's been hit the best is to replace it because panel beater can't work freely in it due to it's double layer built inside.

I've changed 3tires out if the 4 that came with the car

So far so good I thank God. I'll recommend the car anyway any time to intended buyer for both private and commercial purposes. Police has never stopped or pulled me over to check either my riders or car papers all they do is beg for money. Chairman watin dey for us nacheesy

I do not have tint and my car is very transparent with a gold color leather interior so one can see a pin from a distance.

I've had reduce troubles with riders and payments

In all I give glory to God almighty.
Despite the car being converted from right to left drive it has out perform beyond it's expectations, I suppose maybe because I've competent technicians who worked on it all thanks to @ olawaseun for that

Which year? To be precise
