I didn’t go out to look for the video, it is on twitter, just reading through threads and the video starts playing automatically.
I didn’t like, comment or share or even download to rebroadcast or anything.
I understand producing or sharing child pornography is a big crime and also immoral too.

I fault the people that put out the rape narrative, and that is the cause of this brouhaha. Is the school culpable? Yes. This is because under proper supervision those kids shouldn’t have done what they were found doing. Furthermore, if they didn’t involve the parents of the children involved upon discovery of the incident, that would also be bad of them as well.

Even though I don't want to evonorate the school, it is very difficult monitoring pre teens and early teens 24/7. I have a child who just became a teen and he is almost giving his mother high blood pressure. It takes the combination of 3 of us (my wife, my mum and myself) to monitor him.

Some people here are spewing trash that the school did a coverup, the parents are the ones at fault because I wonder why it's that particular girl that was singled out for that inmoral act(which shows that it's not her first time). We like to fight the effect and not the cause. We blame the institution not knowing that the foundation is faulty. The rate at which perversion is being distributed in our media(music, video) these days is alarming. Parents these days just want to push their responsibility to the school and they've forgotten that charity begins at home.

the boy is 13 years old according to the video where another child said their age

This is bad. The whole school needs to be investigated like seriously this is just a tip of the iceberg. This calls for independent investigation by the government.

Unfortunately since it is school for mostly rich ass holes this will die down and life goes on.

For this type of people hate, bitterness and life's frustrations have made them to ignore use of commonsense to look for any fact.Just lie about someone and their hate consumes them.

There's nothing wrong in allowing a child within that age bracket to attend competition in another country, the problem is from the school management not providing what's necessary for the students, at least a supervisor to watch them closely and guide them all through the period they will be staying in the country and also provide different rooms for different gender.
Brother, that's your opinion and you are entitled to it. You see me ern? I cannot do it. Once your games and excursions has passed national stadium, national theater and olumo rock, somewhere within a comfortable distance and you can be back before nightfall, my pre-teen child is not going! Not to talk of a different state, country, or time zone! Did you not read on this same nairaland yesterday of a young lady who traveled to one of these African country unaccompanied in the name of celebrating birthday and was almost raped and strangled? You don't know the female child is an endangered species already that you will now play with your own... Most of the female youths you see walking around nowadays are already walking corpse because they have been used for one rituals or another. Most are emotionally and sexually damaged because of rape, abuse and early exposure to sex! Oga. I am not doing! Due diligence must be paid to raising my daughter/s and if she/they don't like it, that's just too bad! Thank you.

Bb naija has nothing to do with truth or dare.

Truth or dare is actually a children's game and is way older than big brother naija

It speaks very badly of ubi Franklin. He must have also seen the video he is shouting rape about. Or maybe he is actually illiterate.

Schools have to carefully think through all these excursion / extracurricular activities

There are often multiple opportunities /avenues for children to misbehave, and the children will take them.

Lol. Really? Never knew that. I don’t participate in that game as an adult sef.

That said, I saw it trending on Twitter and I refrained from commenting because Ubi could be quite an alarmist and they are all kids, which makes it trickier. Chrisland failed in that they should have summoned all the parents to a meeting and let them know the events that played out in Dubai or wherever. That is how it used to be when I was growing up. All these elite schools and the extent they go to protect their reputation.

It's crazy. The liberalism practised in the West has found its way here, without the attendant societal development. So imagine how worse our society could get. What is scarier is that it's only just begun.

We are the same people who made Kim kardasian a star, and we wonder why kids are making and sharing sex tapes?

We are the same people whose kids are inundated with naija jolof music booty videos. How much contemporary Nigerian music can kids listen to that is not just sex sex sex?

Add to that the funny but definitely not for kids mr macaroni videos.

How many of us actually control the content our kids have access to? How many of us are able to have conversations with our kids about what is happening in their lives? Parenting is not just giving out orders and punishments and discipline, especially today.

And the most important question - how many of us are monitoring and controlling the content our kids see on the Internet?

This is not just about Chrisland. This is playing out in every school in Nigeria in one way or another. Some of those leak sites feature actual rapes in secondary schools.

It is first and foremost up to parents. Too many schools are jumping on Internet without understanding the first thing about proper Internet administration.

And as I have said before, the ISPs are not doing their part. By now there should be a child isp package that blocks porn, WhatsApp, etc.

All these training hustlers need to setup seminars on training parents in it competence

Hmmmm.

This is both alarming and sickening. Of all the positive we could learn from the first world/West, we choose only the harmful practices. We dey form woke, and our morality recedes like Shehu Sani's hairline as time goes on. And it's a vicious circle: children raised without parental care and guidance turn out morally bankrupt, and go on to raise their own kids the same way.

It's inconceivable to think that a fvcking ten-year old already knows truth or dare, and even 'riding'. Yet here we are. Naija 'elite' schools are dumping grounds for degenerate children of degenerate parents, and it's a no-brainer that they pass this behaviour to other kids who might be from saner homes, while their parents are forming woke on Twitter.

I weak wallahi. This woke culture we're imbibing might likely be the death of us all. As chaotic as nature might seem, it has its own rules and order. Humans wanna subvert that order and think they will escape the repercussions. The world's gone crazy... undecided
that's why I always stand old school. We cant learn progressive science from the west but we love to learn immorality cause it takes no thinking to do,! That's why I'm always about old school, decency etc

Nobody should come tell me shit about civilization and nudity. After humans evolved thy put on clothes. May God help us to imbibe good morals on our kids

I think the school may actually have done so or tried to do so. But no one wants to hear your child was lead player in a threes--ome. And because no one knows where the letter is going, everyone wants to be diplomatic.

Can you imagine if the letter said your child was involved in a sexual act with multiple sex partners?

Valid questions. When minors go out, they should be accompanied by a chaperone or chaperones. Where were they?

These things happen when efficiency or efficacy is undermined. Some people think I'm a witch at work for demanding due diligence and efficiency. I try to avoid stories like these. I won't have my two hands behind me answering to queries that are avoidable.

For all you care, the girl might have been a willing participant in this saga.

Parents! Many parents need parenting! Character flaws and evil ideologies everywhere. What happens? They pass it on to the children who are too innocent, too young to decipher.

The school, why are they keeping things hush-hush from the parents? The parents are key partners here. The school don't owe the public any explanation but in their trying to cover an inadequacy, they end up committing another one. Where were their care givers in Dubai? They went sightseeing obviously.

You and I are in the same school of thought at bolded [1].

On bolded [2], we are still together. A lot of things are totally wrong with today's parenting. Where do I want to even start from?

We have copied à lot of things from the Western and now, it's payback time. If I say what's on my mind, I will end up derailing my paddy's thread because I will be attacked. All in a bid to provide everything and keep up with the joneses.

Not all parents are doing à poor job, some à doing à very good job. And kudos to those that do.

I did not and will not watch the video

It is another lesson about abuse of social media to influence the court of public opinion

It is the same thing that happened with sylvester ororomi and dowen college.

The real villain in that story is his dad and the pastor doing nonsense prayer treatment. After the boy died they tried to pin it on the school because the the school has a history of covering up bullying.

And after the whole drama has died down, the useless pastor has not been arrested.

I guess I can understand the denial the parents are in. Where do you even start with the discipline or engagement?

I saw the disgusting video. That was no rape. If I am not mistaken, the girl was even riding the boy at a point. It was totally disgusting. I remember asking the person that showed me why he should even keep such on his phone.
When I think about what kids these days are capable of, I become afraid for the future generation. We have thrown morality in the air. Look at Iyabo Ojo's daughter, Mercy Aigbe's daughter, and recently, the picture of Omotola's 22 year old bikini wear, (That one is even a product of Chrisland) believe me you'll know these kids have been exposed various forms of indecent behaviours since their junior school days.
It's one of the reasons why I'm never having kids because no matter how hard you try,the world will get to them

Too many schools do not think through extra curricular activities and excursions.

They just make it up as they go along.

This is why you see children without life jackets in canoes

One time in my kids school I came upon a taekwondo session. All Around the area were jagged steel beams sticking out of the ground. I called a senior teacher and told her it was a safety hazard. The woman just looked at me blankly. It completely went over her head

One school took kids on 'outing' to a swimming pool. The chaperone teachers started gusting with each other and did not see when a child started struggling.

Now you have a school excursion where 4 students got away for long enough to shoot their very own sex tape. It is likely the dubai authorities that informed them.

Expect a new round of bans for Nigerians

Shouldn't the school plan the extra curricular activities with the Parents/PTA and decide the best course to follow? Like that should be the best course to follow, right?
