The Special Assistant to the President on Media and Publicity, Femi Adesina, has absolved his principal, the President, Major General Muhammadu Buhari (retd.), from criticism that the President’s ruling style had contributed to the division in the country.

The PUNCH reports that the Catholic Bishop of the Diocese of Sokoto, Matthew Kukah, on Sunday, heavily criticised Buhari over insecurity, corruption, and division in Nigeria.

Kukah made his complaints known in his Easter Message on titled, ‘To mend a broken nation: The Easter metaphor’.
According to the bishop, every aspect of life in Nigeria has been destroyed while corruption is enthroned.

He said, “It is hard to know whether the problem is that those in power do not hear, see, feel, know, or just don’t care. Either way, from this crossroad, we must make a choice, to go forward, turn left or right or return home. None of these choices is easy, yet, guided by the light of the risen Christ, we can reclaim our country from its impending slide to anarchy.
“The challenge of fixing this broken nation is enormous and, as I have said, requires joint efforts. With everything literally broken down, our country has become one big emergency national hospital with full occupancy. Our individual hearts are broken. Our family dreams are broken. Homes are broken. Churches, Mosques, and infrastructure are broken. Our educational system is broken. Our children’s lives and future are broken. Our politics is broken. Our economy is broken. Our energy system is broken. Our security system is broken. Our Roads and Rails are broken. Only corruption is alive and well,” the message read in part.
But in a veil response to Kukah’s harsh criticism of Buhari’s regime on Monday, the presidential spokesman said it was surprising that those who are guilty of creating division with mouths in Nigeria are the ones accusing the President of the same crime they committed.
In a tweet on his verified Twitter handle, Adesina wrote, “Those who divided Nigeria with their mouths, with evil, unguarded speaking, are the ones now accusing President Buhari. How sad! Their wicked intentions shall not come to pass.”

I refuse to accept that the major problem facing this country is this tribe....they are always the first to attack anyone that criticises the government, yet they suffer the most in their dilapidated region.

Imagine an average youth in that region paying as much as 50k as bribe to be recruited in the "Owo da" group of companies.

Yet they still want to vote in another vegetable just because.......... I don't know Sha but I pray they wake up from this fullishness

Your principal is the grandfather of division.

"A dot in the nation" was not from critics but from the dummy who will blame everyone for his monumental failure except himself. He is there in Aso Rock.

Everybody working as Buhari's media team are psychologically overwhelmed and has nothing more to say than make a fuss out of nothing.

But you guys used numerous insightful comments during Jonathan's tenure and it was okay for you guys to do that. Why is it now a crime? This is the height of hypocrisy. Its right when its done by you to others but wrong when that same thing is done by others to you. I wish we really have thorough journalists that can ask grilling questions to these dumbfvck heads..

Adesina is a lost soul. This man has not spoken anything right since he sold his soul to his slave-master. I hope Four Square Gospel Church that he fellowships with is taking note of his utterances.

Statements made by Nigerians

" An attack on Bokoharam is an attack on the North"

" Dogs and Babboon will soak in blood"

" The 97% / 5% statement"

Thank God there's no Apo Mosque Committee in the Catholic Church maybe Bishop Kukah would've been removed as presiding Bishop by now for his critique of the dullard

Well maybe the critics divide the country by their mouths while his principal divides the country by his actions and inactions.

Which is worse?

One thing I've cherished in this man Femi is that he reasons like someone who relates with the street gist.

He's so right on point and wailers will call him names but he never gives a f*ck about them.

Whois:
He has forgotten buhari's famous 5 percent statement
Look at one of them.
They'll tell you that Buhari made so so statement bla bla bla....trying fruitlessly to justify their fallacy.

Some of us are not kids and we equally have good memories. They've never gave this man Buhari chance even before the election.
The divisiveness started when it was glaring that PMB could win.

Lol.

The APC government has, in the build up to the 2023 presidential elections, made a significant paradigm shift from blaming the preceding government and main opposition, to now blaming its own citizens for its incompetence and failure.

Why is it that whenever the Northerners in Buhari's cabinet wants to stir up controversy, it's 'Femi Adesina' they give the dirty job to?.. what is it with Yorubas and this 'iwa golugo' inherent in most of our people.

A govt. that has shown no zeal or political will to fight terrorists killing hundreds of people daily but can give order to attack agitators and even kill private citizens in their homes is who this dimwit want to blame critics for?
