Good day all.
My e90 2006 has refused to start. It shows steering lock symbol and would not start. I can wind the windows, even put on the radio but it wouldn't start.
I called someone to scan and fix and he said there is a module to install in the steering rack.

I am in Abuja. Please help!!!

Get someone else to scn it for you, and get the codes on the powertrain.

I'm sorry....

My first BMW experience was riding to the east with my uncle in his 7 series. I was blown away by the speed, balance and sheer comfort.

It informed the choice of my moniker.

This was in 2009.

I got my first car in 2010 and have owned 4 cars after the first.

Last week, I got a 2014 F10.

I just realized I've been cheating. I cheated on BMW with the nonsense Japanese.

So... I'm sorry!

Papi is home now. Death to Japs!

BMW or nothing!!!
congratulations.

On Wednesday morning I got into my BMW f30 to go to work. It was cold outside. I pressed the start-stop button to start the engine, but there was silence in response. The neighbor said that the problem is in the diesel fuel and it is necessary to warm it up. In the end, nothing helped. I called a tow truck, the car was taken to the service station. Dirty spark plugs were the cause. We did not have much in stock, we had to order from the best spark plugs for 4.3 vortec. After installation, my BMW f30 started up successfully. Thanks, guys for their work.

Guys,
What are your takes on a 2014 BMW X5 ?
is a 2016 BMW X3 a better choice ?
Eyes were previously hooked on the 5, but the 3 caught my attention too..

Good evening house, I see the thread seem really quiet but I’d to ask gurus in the house general review of what it means to own a BMW aside from the fact that it’s a German machine and luxurious. But I want to know about the maintenance, mechanic etc.

Finally I’m considering a BMW 528i what’s your take on it.

I’ll appreciate everyone’s response

Owning a BMW can be likened to having a loyal but demanding girlfriend.

Demanding in the sense that you get punished for skipping routine servicing, and the small things that Japanese car owners will get away with. For example, using the wrong coolant can mess up your mileage and even affect the engine in the long run.

However, you get to enjoy a totally different driving experience, prestige (it's way more respected than the other German brands)

There are not a lot of mechanics who understand the idiosyncrasies of the modern Bavarian machine. But I can point you to a few when you get one.

Depending on the year you're looking to buy, the 528i comes with a robust, peppy engine - fuel efficient, yet powerful on demand. However, I'd advice you go for the LCI models. They're more reliable.

I beg to differ on this opinion pls.
It’s not respected and adored the way a bigger Mercedes is worldwide, it’s not respected and worshiped the way a Porsche or a Bugatti is.

Okay. Maybe i should have said "in Nigeria" for context.
You'd agree that Porsche & Bugatti badges are relatively rare in Nigeria.
Mercedes may be adored. But the BMW is way more prestigious here in Nigeria.

Lol! so adored they command very ridiculously low prices for their technologies and year models?

They’re very dreaded and avoided by a lot of folks.

Mercedes on the other hand command respectable price tags, and are adored by A LOT of Nigerians who look at them as a status symbol to ‘show off’.

You keep bringing up the term "adored" which I and many other BMW owners do not care about. If I cared about public adoration or resale value, I'd have kept my Avalon.

A lot of folks dread BMWs because their mechanics don't understand it. You can't give your 2011 BMW to a Kazeem and expect him to understand it. We're talking about tech that's not even present in a 2018 Lexus.

That said, I bought my car to enjoy it. And I am having a swell time!

Again "show off" is rarely the reason why people buy BMW's.

I really appreciate this, I’ll read on the LCI models but I also learnt that it’s better to buy recent models rather than a car of 10 years.

The BMW is as respected as a Mercedes, however I wont put it in same class as Porsche and Bugatti both which has cars with Special alloys and fibre,. Them cars are not family per say especially Bugatti. Though the Porch panorama and the SUV makes a difference. I will say Mercedes, BMW and Audi , then the rest for family cars

Bross no disrespect, Since the average Nigerian thinks TOYOTA is the world best car, I would say what ever Nigerians think about cars does not Count as the Idea of Nigeria is follow trend like flock of sheep
