At the rate you guys (Igbos) exhibit your bitterness towards Lagos and its leadership eh, I doubt you will be able to appreciate any good thing in life. Sincerely speaking. In spite of your deep-seated envy and jealousy, you still refuse to relocate from the state back to your 'better-managed' homeland. No be JuJu be dat??

When it comes to the unprecedented progress that Lagos has and is still witnessing since '99, you and your ilk are quick to dismiss the contribution of its administrators simply because they're Yoruba and belong to a party that you Igbos hate with a passion. To you, all these would still have happened without the visionary leadership of its administrators. If this had happened in your Anambra home state (which you lot are gradually turning into a war-zone), you wouldn't let us hear word about how electing the current governor was responsible for attracting such an investment. But for Lagos, jealousy and envy kills your ability to be objective. Thank God that Yorubas do not need your validation to move forward in life.

Oga there is no jealousy in this abeg. Just face the truth and stop being mischevious, just watch out for the news that will come out from Anambra in the next few months. Lagos is just being overhyped for nothing by you guys. The state is dying gradually if you do a stats of the number of igbos relocating to Lagos in the last 15 years the number is reducing what you have is the southwards migration of northerners and Nigeriens and Chadians to Lagos. In 2021 two south eastern states Ebonyi and Anambra outperformed Lagos in terms of fiscal management that alone should tell you that the era of igbos migrating to Lagos is long gone.

Stop lying to yourself and show us link to your statement on fiscal rubbish.

I'm not a bigot but sincerely you should know more igbos come to Lagos compared to Yorubas coming to Lagos. Have you been to Ojo Alaba area in Lagos?

chai your naivety is first class. Data centers that are normal thing in advanced nations is what you are screaming for. Already by default and lopsided design of the federation Lagos has the market even in the military era so all these investments is not because of any visionary leadership do you know how many businesses have closed down in Lagos due to high cost of doing business due to multiple taxations and other factors?
.... but data centres are not normal things in the Southeast. Infact they don't even have the vision to attract them.

Businesses are closing down in Lagos??...... You should be more worried about the markets that are relocating to Asaba in the Southeast due to your IPOB.

It's Unknown gunmen that will use sit-at-home to kill this kind of investment in the southeast before they burn it down in protest against Nnamdi Kanu's incarceration.

Primitive peeps.

Are data centres also normal in other southwestern states? Lagos is collective investment of every nigerian in it that contributes to her growth and development. This is peculiar in every country whose cities has attained 'Mega-city' status. You talking like the Data centre is meant for only Yoruba people. Or as if the company will only provide employment to Yoruba indigenes undecided undecided. Guy grow up, No one is wishing Lagos bad, even the Igbos that you hate so much have stakes in Lagos, why would they wish it bad?

The decision makers in Lagos are Yoruba, not everybody.

It's the most strategically located area in the Southwest, hence it's attraction and decisions made to attract investment are decided by Yoruba.

Tell your leaders to learn and replicate it in their regions, not try to downplay it out of hatred and bile.

Your piece of advice would have made sense if you practice what you preach.

Try for once to give love and resign from bigotry.

The world is bigger than SE vs SW.

The company is all about networking computers and storing of datas or information or files on cloud. You and i can connect our computers and phones and also share files locally or any part of the world via internet without the physical router and switch. Everything will be virtual. And you and i can only have access to the cloud platform when we subscribe monthly or annually.
For instance, if you want to store your files or data and protect the files , you and i wouldn't need the physical hard drive and Firewall or antivirus to do that. It's a good development.
I hope you understand it?

Thanks. That's explains it.

Over $1 Billion worth of groundbreaking and investment in less than a month...

$537 Million US Embassy groundbreaking, the largest US embassy in the world.

Now, this massive $250 Million Data Center

Equinix acquired Nigeria's MainOne for $320M and opened Nigeria's largest data center in Lagos.

This is huge...

God truly blessed Lagos with good, competent and visionary leaders.

Yes, God blessed Lagos both in weather, nature and land. Lagos should be a country on its own. Nigeria is dragging Lagos back. Blackout is not suppose to be part of Lagos by now but Abuja hands keep making sure power is not available. Nigeria should please hands off from Lagos and allow Lagos to develop full blown. Imagine 24hrs electricity in Lagos, good standard roads and all the tax and VATs for herself. Dubai go fear na

You mean besides Soludo and Ipob struggle for control? cheesy. Anyway, sincerely, I wish Soludo well because unlike you Igbos like you who are allergic to positive news out of Lagos and Yorubaland by extension, I have no special interest in any form of instability in your region, heck, we'll end up having to accommodate more Igbo refugees in such an event so why would I want that?

No problem. We'll take our overhyped Lagos like that. I only wish you'd have the guts to relocate to either Anambra or Ebonyi since they're better off, abi? Since every positive news out of Lagos arouses anger and jealousy in you. When will you leave our overhyped Lagos for Ebonyi or Anambra, oga? You can't be sitting in our Lagos and typing your bile and shyt about it. That's the height of hypocrisy.

It has nothing to do with visionary leaders, Lagos boost of large population of 30 million people which the investors see as captive market to capture and spread their services to about 200 million people, which is a huge market. Every country has one or two cities that is considered as commercial cities due to their population and the ability to service other market in the regions.
If you wanna compare how Lagos has fared, rate her among other cities that have attained mega status in their respective countries and see how well her infrastructure compares to their.

Why are the cities of Port Harcourt and Warri no longer attracting young engineers and entrepreneurs?

Yeah, yeah........ You know how to insult people, I'm sure your upbringing made sure of that.

If a foreign company shows up and Yorubas in Lagos don't like their terms, they'll be the ones to reject that coy. Not an Igboman or Northerner. They have to take permission from the real owners of the land first.

Yorubas make the decisions in Lagos, no matter how many swamps your peeps buy up, a Yoruba man can decide to revoke it's C of O and you can't do nada.

A Yoruba man can decide to shut your markets and you'll beg to have it reopened. Fashola did it and your peeps called your Governors to beg him.

Yorubas make the decisions that run Lagos, know this and experience peace.

How did Lagos state government attract the FDI? you are equally dense and deceitful to say that this is the efforts of the goverment, NO it is not.
This is a business decision because the highest concentration of internet based companies and IT firms is in Lagos. Where is the enabling environment did Lagos dash them Land? the answer is No, of course multiple taxations of which Lagos is notorious for will be there so what are you saying. please stop misleading people in this forum.

Can u see how ure contradicting urself already..

Ask Dangote how Lagos attracted with some tax waivers that made him left Ondo and Ogun to Lagos State.

The company u talked abt, why are they not in PortHarcourt, Kano ,Abuja where which are also city ..

Abeg rest and sing Tinubu praise.

Just wait let Lagos finish her monorails, Dangote Refinery , Eko Atlantic whether Lagos won't have her own currency. Cox naira would be too devalued to her..
