you defined Tweet, then fail to acknowledge the fact that Twit is actually an English word. Tweet no dey dictionary before self, it was after the invention of Twitter that it came into existence.
Also Twitter was coined from the word twit which means to banter with humour. so it is safe to say we Twit on all social media platform.
The only thing that isn't sure is if Tinubu meant Tweeting or Twitting. Since both words are pronounced the same, no one can conclude maybe it is a Grammatical blunder.
So we just assume he said Twit instead of tweet since that is the only word that fits into his statement.
