Alternatively, get a dollar-dominated card but last I checked, it costs $100 to obtain (ask your bank). Another option is to contact the Nairalander - Walspring - to help you pay (plus his service charge). The best option is if you have someone abroad who pays with his/her card and you re-pay the person in a naira bank account s/he tells you to deposit into. This option has to do with trust and level of rapport. There is also Barter by Flutterwave but the day I tried it, it did not work and was way too horrible.

Yes, but for post grad and PhD studies. It used to be for under grads before but students were abusing it.

Even you can bring your parents when studying for post grad or PhD only that you gaz prove sufficient fund.

School will give you a date, which is only when you will be allowed in. I think that is 1 or 2 weeks before resumption in august

Please don't even try it, you most likely will be rejected if you dont have a family there and you have to prove you have sufficient funds while you are there. The closest embassy is egypt. I went through that route in January, going soon by july
