It's not about buying it outright. There are a million ways to buy coca cola without buying it outright, same way he's not buying Twitter outright.

Seems there is some misunderstanding in my use of the word outright. Here I use it in reference to financing. That is to say, Elon Musk is buying Twitter outright but not paying for it himself.

Actually the ingredient used by Coca cola is the same source as cocaine, the coca plant.

But Coca cola uses the non-narcotic extract from coca plant.

They did use to put cocaine. However, the quantity reduced till 1928 when it was removed all together

Round about the time coke was invented a lot was not known about cocaine
