No Nigerian city looks like this 3d rendering. not even Abuja or Onitsha with it's 4 story buildings. Only Onitsha and maybe Aba comes close though, but not quite. Most Nigerian cities are actually towns, not real cities. in this modern times , highrise structures define cityscapes.
In recent times there's been a lot of focus on roads in Nigeria, albeit we still haven't mastered building roads with drainage and sidewalks. Even so , I think attention should also be given to buildings.

In order to achieve this , all Nigerian cities need new city plan. many structures would have to demolished to erect highrise apartments. It may not have to occur all at once, it could be within a period of time , as long as the blue print is followed by successive governments

Trust me, when Nigeria have 24/7 power supply, even our kind of buildings will change.. A 25 storey building in a place with no 24/7 power supply isn't viable

The question should be why will you have money to build a 25 storey building but can't afford money for renewable energy to power it. Such buildings don't depend on government for power they normally employ wind turbines, solar panels and generators for backup. In fact it should be a law that any new building above a storey should not be allowed to join the national grid to encourage diversification in the energy sector.

How do you guys equate high rise buildings to development?

Lagos have more skyscrapers than a lot of European cities.

In Nigeria, we need well paying jobs, food, security, 24/7 power supply etc.

After all this things is achieve, then we can rebuild our cities.

In Europe, USA, Canada, China, Japan etc they do destroy old areas and rebuild them. Nigeria can start doing so when we have solve a lot of issues we are battling with now.

Having skyscrapers no mean say your country is develop.

Depends on where you are.

25 storey was me exaggerating.
If Nigeria have 24/7 light, average Nigerian landlord s will start building 5-6 storey building. That average income earners can afford. You need a lift in buildings of such height.. And without constant power such venture is futile

Too much looting of public funds. Wealth can never circulate enough to have that kinda city
Re: Nigerian Cities Should Look Like This (photo) by Mooh247:
cool

Cities like that run on Electricity to power elevator

I once lived on the 23rd floor of Al Nahda building Sharjah UAE.. Everything was fine and smooth for many months till powercut happened one horrible unforgettable day in the whole of Sharjah

Imagine climbing flights of steps from ground floor, 2 floor parking and 27 step to work, to eat, and to buy groceries

How many Nigerians can pay outrageous electricity bill, gas bill, water bill, waste disposal bill and service and maintenance fee on a monthly bases

Most rich Europeans and Americans prefer suburban houses and mansions to this city towers

The economic conditions of a average man cannot make him build this kind building.
Only rouges and politicians dey build this type.
None of those model building ll cost less than N50m. Can an average Nigerian civil servant build that in 30 years? Only few with side hustles or illegal earnings.
