While scholarships are not guaranteed, full scholarships is even rarer for Undergraduate studies in Canada.
With up to 4 or 5 A1s in your WAEC, you can get some form of scholarships in some universities ( Uni of Manitoba) for example. It is not guaranteed please note my words.
OK thank you, no prob

Tell the person to visit thier bank for it if they don't use GTB.

Visiting MyBankStatement.com is just to see list of banks that offer the MyBankStatement thing, they cannot access it o the platform. They have to go through their bank .

kennykentipsy:

Ok thank you but it not compulsory I use the one from mybankstatement.com? Because somone asked me and I didn't know what to say..when I came to Canada I used the normal statement from bank not sure if things have changed

On which credential is better, I won't answer that because the credential names speak for themselves. Being a Nigerian, you should understand better.

Being PGWP eligible is not all about discipline but the school and the program. A school is qualified to run PGWP eligible programs if it's a designated learning institution. Before enrolling in a course, you must confirm whether it qualifies for PGWP if it matters to you.

On the college that runs Banking and Finance, you'll need to research for yourself. Only through this method can a novice learn. If you don't wish to disturb your yourself, you can employ the services of agents.

Thanks so much Big boss
Which one is okay between Diploma and Adv diploma enlighten me more pls
Secondly Can banking and finance course accepted has PGWP
Thirdly which college can I enroll that accept banking and finance
Sorry for more questions and disturbing

Thanks kweje. Been searching through for visa Sop write up. Didn't know who to address it to. You have just saved me the stress.

I saved this whole content while going through the thread from page 1.(Apologies, I can’t remember who put it together to give credit to).
It should be helpful. You can also google SOPs.

SOP (STATEMENT of PURPOSE) with detailed breakdowns and areas to address

As a first time applicant, you are to write a STATEMENT OF PURPOSE (SOP)

SOP - Statement of Purpose
The theme SOP is geared more towards the first time visa applicants. In this case, the applicant will more likely talk about how the advance studies is going to complement past academics and how it will brighten up the future career scope. In addition, various other topics will be addressed such as capability to finance studies & living cost, why particular program, why Canada, why particular institution etc.

Your friend can't go for Master degree because of her result.

Meanwhile, she can enroll for Graduate Certificate or Graduate Diploma which we all know as Post Graduate Diploma in Nigeria.

There are 1 year Grad Cert and 2 years Grad Cert.

If you graduate from 1 year Grad Cert, you'll be eligible for 1 year Post Graduation Work Permit while 2 year Grad Cert will qualify you for 2 or 3 year Post Graduation Work Permit.

If you choose either one, you can become a Permanent Resident after graduation.

If you have the time and funds to enroll for 2 year course, it is advantageous because it will get you 2-3 year PGWP. These years will get you enough time to file for your Permanent Residence without panic.

If you are constrained financially, you can go for a year, sometimes 8 month-, course which will get you a year PGWP. This option may be risky if you don't have a well detailed strategy, but I can tell you to not fret as there are strategies that can get you Permanent Residence after graduation. I wrote a post yesterday or two days ago on unfailing strategy on how to get Permanent Residence with a year course without panic of PGWP expiring.
Can you please mention on the post you wrote two day’s ago so I can read and benefit

1)Your student ID number should be on the letter. Use it to set up the UMnetID(highlighted on the photo added). If it goes through, then you know you have your student portal as an admitted student where you eventually register for courses.

2) If its University 1(Undergraduate) program, it is usually an unconditional offer, which means tuition deposit is not demanded. You can pay a tuition deposit to strengthen your proof of funds.

With Uni of Manitoba, agents cant do much after the admission is given, they have to accept the offer on your behalf to download the Letter of Admission the agent has given to you.

You can access a lot of info online. Use this link to read up about Next steps.
https://umanitoba.ca/admissions/undergraduate/next-steps

All the best.

This is the University1, one agent preach to me that and he said my visa will be ready in 4 months also I won’t pay any fees not until when I landed in Canada and I can always work when studying cuz he said it came with pgwp
Tho I will pay visa fee, application fee and biometrics and other fee which make up to 350k and when admission is out I will 150k their own service fee…

Hello everyone, I'm new to this thread and I would be taking The SSCE EXAMS this year.
Please I want to know the requirements for a full scholarship to universities in Canada and what scores I should aim for in the SSCE exams
Even without scholarship, don't go to an examination hall aiming lesser than the highest attainable grade.

So I won't expect anyone to tell you C or B... Aim for the highest if you really want a scholarship.
Get like 8 A's and see if schools in developed countries won't offer you full scholarships. Nearly all top 5 students in WAEC from Nigeria go abroad every year.

Pls your expert advice would be appreciated on this questions. Thanks

Good day Gurus in the house. I gained admission into Niagara college this year March for Post Graduate Course, schl to resume September,2022. My questions:

1) My passport expires April 29th, but I have applied for passport renewal since April 4th. My capturing date is May 19th.

But I was told collection of passport may extend to end of June and I want to use the passport to process visa application. School resumption is September, this year and visa processing is longer nowadays.
I wrote the school to defer the admission and they said the program only take place once in a year, that next intake should be September 2023. Alternatively I should take another course. I have checked, other courses available are diploma, no other PGC. I have B.Eng already.

Should I defer to next year or there is a way to fast track collection of passport and will I still be able to get visa to meet September resumption? Thanks for your anticipated response.

Yes, it is true. There are many options of becoming a Permanent Resident (PR) of Canada after study.

You must study a course that qualifies for Post Graduation Work Permit (PGWP). If you study for 8 months or 1 year, you'll get a 1 year PGWP; 2 year course would get you a 2 - 3 years of PGWP. This is after completion of your course.

During this PGWP period, you can explore many options of becoming a PR.

With your ND, you can enroll for BSc or Adv. Diploma and claim credits for completed courses. You can as well go for a Diploma if you wish.
Hi! Is it possible to go for another masters one year after completing one abroad?

I didn’t give them shishi . ) when he got tired ,he finally stamped my passport and asked me to go .

We left PHC at 8:00pm and arrived Abuja at 8:50pm for technical stop over ( to pick passengers in Abuja) . The delay was for 1hr:30 mins before we took off to Frankfurt. The food was good and I ate everything that was served grin . I slept most of the time and finally we reached Frankfurt at 5:15am.

At Frankfurt Airport , they only asked for passport and Arrive can . After 5hrs layover. We continued our journey to Calgary. I won’t lie I got tired of this trip to Calgary. It was so long and I didn’t even sleep the entire 9hrs 45mins and even got tired of watching movies ..The flight attendant warned me twice for not wearing my nose mask properly and threatened to report if she cautions me for the third time ( you can be fined 5,000cad in Canada for not wearing your mask when you are on transit). For my mind I say which kind witch be this one . I could not breath very well but I say make I just obey before my village people go use me do scapegoat.

Finally we landed at Calgary and I went straight to one of the computer for self declaration. I was quick because I wanted to get to the Boarder office on time because the crowd was much . The boarder officer that attended to me only asked for my passport and admission letter . He asked if I have paid my fees and how I intend to pay the balance . Then he issued me study permit and work permit ( please ensure your collect your work permit if your program is co-ops). At this point I was mad happy . Finally , I went back to the boarding gate to catch my flight to Edmonton.

I am loving it here !

I wish everyone waiting for decision good luck . God will put a smile on your faces.
