Plus I have an issue at hand, I did my int passport about 5 years ago , it got expired Dec 2021, I used my hubby surname then ,before we decided to used a compound name.(something like Adewale -Praise,) now I want to renew my passport, they said I can only renew with the surname not the compound name,I have done all documentations concerning the new name, eg newspaper publication, court affidavit, NIN,Bank accounts, experts pls help.what will I do?
Does it entail me to start all over with the Change of name again?

Please is there anyone capturing this morning, please can you give updates on the situation there

if you need to answer the new name, you have to do correction of data(change of name)
Renewal passports can not just be changed like that
Go online to nigerian immigration portal and start from the correction of data link

If you are no longer with the passprt there is nothing like doing correction of data, what data are you trying to correct?
It’s like you dont know the problem with correction of dob on passport.
Then number 2 problm u dnt have the old passport.
How you want to complicate your life now with lost passport process + change of DOB is what I dnt understand.

I have serious issue with my passport ight now and I am confused on how to go about it.

Firstly, sometime end of 2019, I applied for Canada Tourist visa through an agent. Did capturing at the VFS in Lagos alongside passport submission. At the end of the day, I was given a collection slip. I went back to base. After some weeks a notice from the embassy came into my mail telling me that my application was fraudulent, so the agent suggested we cancel the process which I agreed. I waybilled the passport collection slip which was given to me at the VFS to my agent. Since then, haven't laid hands on my passport. Now, I want to renew and also make a change of data (DoB) as my passport has expired one year ago. I am putting this here, for the house to give me the best and effective advice on how to go about this in order to save cost and also time.
Again, if I can get a reliable insider from NIS especially in Lagos cos I'm in Lagos currently, I will so much appreciate it.Thank you all for your time and patience,reading this and for your willingness to help a distressed soul.

It is meant to be hand written, a sample of the letter is pasted like a bulletin on their wall at servicom. You can get there early with plain A4 paper and a pen, then write it out.

Y method. Pay attention to your online form/application, make sure your data is correct. I captured 31st March so I am still in the process until I receive my passport.

You either due a renewal with the old name
Or
A fresh process with the new name

He wants to change his DoB to assume a new identity, unfortunately his biometrics is with CiC and can be share with other countries without demanding for it

Please, I was advised to go do an international passport by my wife as we want to begin trying for foreign jobs, relocation, studies etc. So i am not so much in a hurry to get one.

An acquaintance who is into visa stuff told me 2 weeks, 32 pages is 60k!!

Is it advisable to go and do it myself, Or use her?

Well, you will have to wait for him. It's one of those things. You cannot report him to any authority, since you didn't follow the assigned pathway.
I did mine and got it the same day (yes, it's done) and I paid 25k some years ago. But now it's 30k, with this same guys that I patronised.
Just wait for him, but if you have his number you could disturb him.

And it's not like I don't know my way around the things o..But people will rather pay more, just because they feel the person assisting them is someone they know personally,or through a family member.

you are not in a hurry, pls do it yourself and start now. Acquaintance that wants to collect 60k from you is an enemy and not an acquaintance.. use the right lingo. Ppt is 26k in abj, enugu, lagos, rivers and ogun. 17k in the other places. I rather pay the right amount and then out of the goodness of my heart if I want to give I give. Come be when I am not pressed for time…

So I called two people today concerning this passport of a thing. Got their contacts from Facebook as they were recommended by friends.

Asaba woman said adults is #40,000 and passport will be out in two months cos no booklets while that of children is #32,000.

Called another immigration officer in Yenagoa and he said adults is #35000 and that of children is #32,000. Passport will be out in a month and some weeks.


Those of us in Delta State are stuck cos if you DIY, those guys will frustrate you and you end up paying extra #40,000.

Reading this makes me jus say, 'eyaa'
That they have to wait that long due to booklets shortages.
See why Abuja's own is the best to me sha.
And the price is less, depending on how you plead your case and how many passports you plan to create.

No VIP can get same day. If you say the next day fine but same day with the vetting, capturing and production processes NO SIR.

I did my capturing over 2 weeks now and am yet to hear from them . I paid 60k for normal price and I was told 100k for expresss here in owerri.
People i asked paid the same . Was told to wait for 2 weeks and is more than that already and I need it urgently for something.
This is so so painful
