What kind of rubbish is this, this flight should be banned in Nigeria before they kill everyone in Nigeria. Poor management, poor everything

Dana air still operating their MD-82 aircraft when they should have retired it out of their fleet. Thank God for saving those lives and kudos to the pilot and everyone involved for handling the issue in a calm and orderly manner.
Of all the airlines I've used in Nigeria, Dana operates the oldest fleets.
Inside their planes look like molue, with their air hostesses always begging for alms for orphans in the Arab nations

You made a very valid point but your sentiment against Buhari spoil everything. One million Buhari or any other person can not defeat corruption. President can't be everywhere, doing everything, he must deligate assignment and average Nigerian are inherently corrupt.
I humbly disagree with you bro. The man called Buhari failed woefully to curb corruption in this country. Don't forget that was the sole reason some of us voted for him at first successful instance.

Don't forget, when the head is bad.... complete pls!

People will not understand this talk. 20 mims later and it would have been mass burial, sanctions and compensation.

I agree with you, but you must understand I am holding Buhari accountable on the ground of promises made on which he got elected into office.

Indeed. Those tyres could have given way midair with catastrophic consequences.
Under inflation or more likely brake binding caused it.

It's less risky if it caught fire mid air than during take off when it still have that much fuel.
The pilots can always dump fuel and glide the plane with minimal engine power.
Easier said than done.
Mid-air fires or explosions rarely, RARELY, RARELY end well anywhere in the world.
Remember this is a very old aircraft with most of its systems including the airframe considerably weakened.

And then what are the emergency services like at Nnamdi Zik or MMIA.... abeg, make I hear word.

I didn't say explosions ooo,I meant fire.
The procedure is to fly to heights of very thin oxygen which will put out the inferno while the pilots shut the engines or bring to idle and glide all the way to the closest aerodrome or airport.
Explosions that will compromise the fuselage most times end fatally, because most times the blast breaks hydraulic lines moving the movable parts of the airplane such as elevators,rudder,aileron,flaps,etc...hence making the plane unflyable.
However if its just a hole which didn't touch vital electronics or hydraulics and didn't break vital frames like wings, stabiliser and Co,the plane only need to descend to 10,000ft because of cabin depresurrization and will very well fly excellently till it lands.
What usually kills people during take off is too much fuel which makes the flame very strong and fry everyone.

Probably a rotor burst caused by a bad or counterfeit part. They need to sort this out as quickly as possible.
