My Take On Pastor Olaniyan (Head of Politics and Governance in RCCG) Comment of Prof. Osinbajo's Presidential Ambition

Please be open minded to here me out.

We must not submit to this kind of intimidation. He is a Nigeria and there is no legal, moral or spiritual implication for him expressing his fundamental human right of presidential choice. Some say he should be neutral because of the position he holds. Since when should a public leader be neutral in their expression of interest. Daddy G.O. can express the food he likes, the car he likes, the people he loves, his religious inclination but when he says who he wants to vote for all hell will be let lose.
Why can't the church see that we are being bullied. Buhari insisted on an APC chairman and nothing happened, Tinubu insisted removing Ambode and nothing happened, MURIC said they are not voting Christians and nothing happened, I recently saw a video of Muslims in Mecca during Hajj chanting that Tinubu must win, yet nothing happened but just let a Christian leader, especially from RCCG express his political opinion all hell will be lose.

Why are we not seeing that we are been intimidated to keep silent. We cannot continue to remain in darkness and be happy to let this same people rule us and intimidate us to keep quiet - common!!! They know the power we wield and they are trying to keep the giant sleeping. Why are we not seeing this? Every Christian who support this evil manipulation and intimidation is fighting against the glory of this country because we know if a righteous man or one with a semblance of righteousness get there (Presidency) the whole country will be turned around. Christians, Muslims, traditionalist will be safe and will prosper because their leader will be sincere and will work for the betterment of the country, not for a group, a tribe or a selfish or devilish ambition.

I will not accept this strategic bullying and you should not if the glory of Nigeria means anything to you. The pastor who asked for Pst. Olaniyan's resignation is sadly either ignorant or is working for this intimidators. Everyone irrespective of their tribal or religious inclination, should rise to lift this country out of the hands of scavengers who have rules over and over again and brought us to this state of decadence. I will not be bullied, I have right to the choice of who becomes my president irrespective of my religious inclination or the group I lead. If my group respect my judgement on other serious aspect of life, I am at liberty to also express my judgement on who should lead them, though it is still in their power to chose.

A pastor as an individual is different from the church as a body.

A pastor can decided to be apolitical while the church as a body cannot and should not.

Any statement made to drag RCCG as a body into partisan politics shouldn’t be encouraged. Such is enough to erode the foundation of the church.

Any pastor who come out to issue partisan press statement on behalf of the church should be disciplined and excommunicated to serve as a deterrent for others.

For that statement made by Pastor Olaniyi RCCG is already feeling the backlash. A member of the church can contest as individuals but not that a religion institution like RCCG should publicly supported his member.

And don’t be surprised that the politicians that will attack RCCG are even Christians of other churches. The orthodox Christians are standing against the Pentecostal Christian now due to Pentecostal aggressiveness and lack of tolerance.

Winning election has always been done with a body of people with similar believes. Why do you think they say this person will win because he as a structure- what is a structure? Politics is a game of numbers and without doubt those who are coordinated, populous will always take the day - no wonder the south always goes to beg the north why? numbers.

Neutrality is what has made us pray and pray and Nigeria is becoming worse because we feel prayer alone can do it - there you have it. These same politician will go to the churches to canvas for votes asking you to take a stand with their part and when we want to do it on our own, they start shouting be neutral. They however will not tell their structures to be neutral. Arewa Consultative Forum is not Neutral, Ndigbo are not neutral, Afenifere is not Neutral, MURIC is not but the church should be neutral. Are we Ok? We know they will take us serious when we are no longer neutral.

RCCG is not like any of those tribal or fanatic bodies you mentioned. Afenifere, Ohaneze and NEF and ethnic bodies while MURIC is an Islamic activist without a single place of worship.

RCCG is multi-ethnic, cross-cultural, multi-racial with people from different countries, professions, class and races.

It is filled with members who are either APC, PDP, PRP, AAC, SDP, APGA, LP YDP etc. it’ll be a great injustice, disservice and disenfranchisement for the leaders of such a huge church to say their members should vote for so, so and so person.

Sentiments and emotions are out when leading such a huge church. And no church of Christ should take side in political matters BUT can only take side when theirs injustice, persecution or corruption.

I think I agree in totality with the writer here. Individuals irrespective of religion, tribe, office and affiliations can express their choices and opinions without being bullied.

Did you see the video where Northern Elders Forum, Arewa, and some other Multi cultural, multi-ethnic group of people with different political biase (APC, PDP etc) making definitive statement about who or which group the want to support? Are they entitled to such opinion? Off cause they are. Politics is a game of numbers, strategy and structures - an exact depiction of what the church is.
We have numbers, strategy and structure and you cannot tell us to keep quiet. That is unspiritual, immoral and unconstitutional. Every group has a right to pursue what will be of interest to them. The president of Nigeria is of immense interest to the church and you cannot tell them to be neutral about his selection. That time of ignorance as past.
An average Muslim is taught politics from their young age right from the mosque. Decisions on who to vote for is preached in the mosque. Many riots started immediately after Friday prayer because they are motivated to action from the mosque. It is callous or ignorance to say Christians should not decide who rules them, we are not zombies. Let me add, this is not even about RCCG alone. All the Christian body should and would come together for 2023. Our interest must begining to count.

In those days in school, politics was left for anyone until Christian in all the Fellowship came together to say they will be part of who becomes the SUG president After few years, only the school fellowships political aspirants where winning the elections and guess what, it did not divide the fellowships, it made them more united. If it can be done in the schools, it can be done in the country.Politics will always remain a game of numbers.

We will not vote in a poppet and a lapdog of Enoch Adeboye who is a Christian extremist.

Enoch Adeboye is a desperate power hungry man who thinks he could gain power and control the country through his poppet Oshibajo. Osinbajo is more loyal to Enoch Adeboye than to Nigeria.

There is no difference between Enoch Adeboye of RCCG and Abubakar Shekaw of Boko Haram. They are basically the two sides of a coin as they are both religious bigot and extremist who are desperately trying to gain control of the country.

Through his poppet, bigot Enoch Adeboye has been hunting down and persecuting northerners. He has made sure certain key officers have been sacked in a malicious way to pave way for the take over of the nation.

Osinbajo doesn't appoint northerners to any position and he has been hunting down and sacking the ones appointed by the government.

To people like extremist Enoch Adeboye, being a norther and not of the RCCG is a capital crime and should be punished.
