@ominni @makano @frankrobon1 @justmellow and others pls can the below be used.. my bro is NOK reason gratuity was sent to him but family already agreed it be used for this purpose. Can it serve as my POF. I am a married woman. I teach and run a side business. Please help respond

Hello Chinnychappy,

If there is evidence of the gratuity payment entering your brother's account, it can be used as POF. The evidence is to justify the term deposit into your account from your brother. Given your marital status, instead of the money being paid into your account meant for the SP application purpose, collect the money using a different account and utilize it to pay off your tuition for the first year. Your brother can also write you a letter of support and ensure that your spouse also plays a financial role.

@ JustMellow,

I have my application submitted since 15th January and till date eligibility have not even started. I order for a GCMS note and it arrived today and was also blank. But mail sent to MP, webform raised and mails sent were acknowledged in the note, nothing was done thereafter. It is about 4months now and it is clear that my file has not been opened.

What should I do at this point to get them work on my file? Should I sent them updated bank statement i.e 8months since I submitted 4months in January?
Re: Canadian Student Visa Thread Part 21 by AOlalere: 11:24am On May 08, 2022
Thank you very much for your prompt response. So the full story is my dad is retired and it is my sister who is in Canada sponsoring me but in order not to bring her in which may weaken my home ties argument in my application, she wants to send the money to my dad and then he sends it to me and provide a gift letter. I have no other relative in Nigeria asides my parents. We do not want to have to provide my Dad’s ID, employment letter, bank statement, land documents or sources of employment. He is willing to do a transfer after my sister sends it to him and sign a gift letter but not provide the above documents. What do we do in this situation? Thanks
JustMellow:

Hello AOlalere,

Considering the length of your program, there is no need for your dad to transfer the funds to you. It will make a lot of sense if he pays your full tuition directly from his account since he's your sponsor. The LE alone can be transferred to you. Leave the gift deed alone and let your dad support your application with the Letter of Sponsorship. Any lump sum should be addressed adequately.

It will help your application very well if you provided relevant and sufficient documents of your sponsor that justify his employment (sources of funds), economic establishments, etc. There are never too many documents, especially if it is required to explain, prove, or justify your situation.

Ensure you include your payslips, ID card, awards, promotion letter(s), as well as documents that prove your economic establishments (home ties), etc.

Focus more on demonstrating solid socioeconomic home ties than worry about your fresh passport. There have been a lot of applicants that got approved without any travel history or experience. What matters is demonstrating you have a genuine intent to study and will depart upon the authorized stay in Canada. You can also tell the officer about your intra-country tours.

GCMS notes is a journal that records all the activities and progresses about your visa application. For example, Jan 1 Application opened: Jan 2 upfront medical report submitted: Feb 1 Eligibility review started Feb 2, Medical passed: Feb 4 PPR request.

In short, GCMS note helps you know the status or progress of your application. It reveals the interaction, concern, opinion etc of Visa Officers handling your application.
It is used to pin point the concern of the VO in order to know what to address well in re application if necessary.

GCKey is a login details to access the portal for visa application.

Dear Leki,
What program can my friend with HND and PGD, Pub Adm go for? His work experiences has been all about prov3 support to the vulnerable population . He is actually interested in pursuing masters in Social work or Peace , conflict and development. Came across
programs but would need your input please walking google. Thank you @Lekiboboe

Just like technix said

PG. Cert in Data/Business Analytics will be a good progression for you, owing to the fact that you might have done some Agriculture Economics courses with quantitative components that has to do with Data Analysis.

To further solidify your profile,
do some Online Courses on Business/Data Analytics (free or paid) get the certificate and add it to your resume, then apply for a PG. Cert in Data Analytics/Business Analytics program at a Canadian College for 2023 intake (whether Winter, Spring or Fall)

See the link below for the programs

Open a domiciliary account and get a dollar card or use batter by flutterwave. I don't know if form A (Google Trade Monitoring System CBN) can be used for such a small amount plus the time delay involved in Form A

I opted for that because it was the only available one this month.

You can maybe defer till January so you still have 2 cards in your pocket which is just about 6 months away. If you have already waited 33months what's an extra 6

When am stable, collected login details, access documents he submitted and asking questions, that was when I noticed his errors.

Been in 4 countries is nothing, we learn every day and immigration process changes every time. Even if you are there, you will continue to learn and ask questions because no one is the owner of oyinbo rules.

Now, I am doing my study application by myself.

Form A is for tuition payment.

Am sure the school will have a guide on how to Pay application fees, check their website further. The popular one most of these schools use is Flywire

Await a response from those who have applied to VIU (if any), they will guide you further.

Hi

I don't know if Canada admit HND holders with a PGD for their Masters program, you might need to do reach out to the school on that or await a response from the house.

Your friend should do his research on the Relationship/Corelation between Public Administration and Social Work, Peace and Conflict etc. If there is a connection and if he can tailor his ACADEMIC background and Work Experience to the mentioned field, then he is good to go.

Note that work experience is not an admission requirement, it's just to solidify the profile of someone whose work experience is related to his/her field of study (Academic background)

Just like this scenario

A BSC holder of Microbiology with Accounting work experience would very likely not be considered for a Masters in Accountancy because he/she doesn't have Academic background in Accounting or related field.
