Thank you so much.
I will make sure I update my bvn ASAP.

I have applied for the PTA through access bank Internet banking directly.
There's an option on access Internet banking for that.

I hope access bank will respond ASAP, I choose deposit into my DOM account directly not cash

Access bank will not deposit dollars into your account. Intact for pta if u choose dollars they will give u a dollar card for the 4k dollars wch u can only use over there. Its pounds they give cash

Can I be paying bit by bit my tuition fee, let’s say when I have like 1000cad, on day of 2000cad I pay like that till I finish it before applying for my visa, will all the payment be added onto the final receipt please?
Won’t it affect my visa processing please?

Please I’m yet to get any answers or suggestions on this. Help a brother.

I’m in the process of filling out my IMM forms and I have few questions.
1. Funds available for my stay? I was admitted to a 2 year course. Should I show for the first year or both years?
2. How do I sign the IMM 1294 and Family Information IMM 5645 forms?
I’m using the GCKey portal

Please kindly help answer these important questions. TIA

Hello Sam

Its good you have documents to back up your claims, which will be very important for your application.

But I wont advise you state the bolded though, don't make it look to the Visa officer that you do not have other funds aside the one gotten from the sales of land.. You saying the reason you sold the land is solely for the purpose of studying in Canada isn't necessary to mention in your application.. Instead dwell on other sources of funds. i.e. Salary, funds gotten business transaction.. And make sure you include the documents to explain and back up the sales of land and lump sum....

Peace

Good day everyone, my sponsor received a lump sum of about ₦10million in his account. The money was gotten from the sale of a land, and I have documents to back it up including the receipt that was issued to the buyer. Is it advisable to state in the SOP that the funds from the sale of the land is solely for the purpose of study. Makano, Anon, Ominii, Osemigbo and others, Pls your opinions would really help. Thanks

You should have submitted the slip that was given to you when you did your Medicals, along with other documents when you applied for visa.
The unique number on the slip is what IRCC will use to identify your results sent by the hospital. So now you have to send the slip via webform ASAP.

Yeah I included the medical slip in the additional documents section and also provided the UMI number in the online form for new portal..just being curious though.. thanks

Hello Beautiful

All Ontario college applications will be done through the ontariocolleges.ca .

Find below the link to start with, all ontario colleges are there. Chose Fanshawe college

https://www.ontariocolleges.ca/en/apply/international-applicants

But note, Fanshawe uses agents for their admission application.. Applyboard.com is one of Fanshawe's approved agent. You can do your research to know other approved agents, that is if you not cool with Applyboard..

Peace

Did you make full payment of your tuition fees before enrolling first semester courses at Centennial College?

I am still in Nigeria. Resuming in fall, so enrollment for that hasn't started but I paid only first semester tuition.

Stress of flutterwave ke? Barter by flutterwave is one of the easiest and smoothest to use and you won't leave the comfort of your home or office.

If he buys dollar at N590 from black market, it ends up being about the same thing you will pay on barter without the hassles of opening a dollar account first just because you want to pay a Visa application fee.

Thank you. I will wait it out. We submitted our application on the 9th of April and included our upfront medical slip, yet it has not been updated yet. I have observed that updates on medicals have been slow these days. Who else is in my shoes?

Hello great people, thanks for all the good work you are doing here.

I got application to Study Cyber Security at OCMT (Ontario College of Management & Technology). It's a private college in Ontario.

My concern is that though they are a DLI, they do not offer PGWP after studies. Though they are promising a job after 6 months internship but I am still a bit sceptical.

I also applied to Seneca but yet to get a respons.

Thank you in anticipation

@ JustMellow,

I have my application submitted since 15th January and till date eligibility have not even started. I order for a GCMS note and it arrived today and was also blank. But mail sent to MP, webform raised and mails sent were acknowledged in the note, nothing was done thereafter. It is about 4months now and it is clear that my file has not been opened.

What should I do at this point to get them work on my file? Should I sent them updated bank statement i.e 8months since I submitted 4months in January?

Don’t worry , your eligibility will start on the 15th of this month exactly 5 months . I applied on the 4th of January and my Eligibility started on the 4th of of May after I sent them my new letter of acceptance after deferring to September via webform and email.

A friend needs advice!
He has a BSc Pharmacology & wants to apply for Nursing in Canada but there are discrepancies in his documents

BSc.: 31/05/1991
First WAEC: 31/05/1990
INT'L PASSPORT: 31/05/1995
Second WAEC: 31/05/1995 (written this year & same date with passport but different from BSc)

Will affidavit suffice for the differences in his BSc and International Passport?

Or he should apply as a non graduate using the WAEC that has the same DOB with passport?

There's nothing more except for the fact that I am tired of living here and I have been waiting for Aussie for 33months for an initial timeline of 7months and lost faith in the process.

Be patient. Covid made things difficult for many visa offices. I have friends waiting for Canada PR since 2020. I told one of them to wait, but he refused and went to spend over 10 million, excluding full tuition, to move his family to UK on study visa. He got a request for updated medicals about one month after arriving in the UK. To make it worse, they will likely go back to school in Canada to get a more valued local education.

Save your money and go and spend it in Australia if your Australia is near. Relax and watch the drama in Nigeria, believing it is almost over and you will move to your Australian chapter.

Australia is a very good place. I have a friend who moved there while I came to Canada. He is a citizen now and won't trade it for anything. Relax, it is almost over.

If the PR is sure, then don't waste resources on this endeavor. Except you're a person of affluence and you don't mind.

From the person's post, money for Canada study is already an issue as s/he only have $10,000 saved. That money will do mighty things for a new Australian PR, but not enough for canada tuition not to talk of living expenses and travel. To me, Canada is just a distraction and agent of confusion to the person. I have seen cases like that to know when desperation to japa like others makes people irrational.

Thank you very much for your prompt response. So the full story is my dad is retired and it is my sister who is in Canada sponsoring me but in order not to bring her in which may weaken my home ties argument in my application, she wants to send the money to my dad and then he sends it to me and provide a gift letter. I have no other relative in Nigeria asides my parents. We do not want to have to provide my Dad’s ID, employment letter, bank statement, land documents or sources of employment. He is willing to do a transfer after my sister sends it to him and sign a gift letter but not provide the above documents. What do we do in this situation? Thanks

The last application I helped packaged had this issue. However, we concluded the PR sibling is the best sponsor due to his financial standing. You may want to check my posts to see how the apllicant addressed the issue of home ties.

You should explain the lump sum with documents. It may not be an issue if your sponsor already have wonderful source(s) of high and regular income. I think visa officers focus more on the regular source(s) of income. If that is too weak, the lump sum issue becomes heavy on the application. If the regular source of income is strong, the lump sum issue can be easily overlooked as a one time issue if you explain it well. This is just my own opinion.
