The palm extraction process is what has been hindering me from cooking this myself. Luckily, I found some canned ones in a supermarket nearby. I might give it a try on Sunday.

Biko, assist your abroadian brothers with replacements:

- Could I use palm oil or canned crushed palm fruit (from Ghana), to replace the fresh palm fruit?

- Could I use Spinach instead of Ugwu leaf (I have some already cut and frozen spinach)?

- What do I use instead of Okpeye? Soy sauce? Ignore this ingredient? I said soy sauce because it is gotten from fermented soya beans.

I don't even know what ehuru is. I do have some nutmeg spice. Could I use that instead?

Finally, I have some groundnut that was ground for use in making groundnut soup. Any idea on a recipe? My sister's and mom have never cooked this before. Could I add it here?
