They didn’t play up to their usual standard, partly because of the pressure on them and partly because of the tactics employed by the Forest manager (Warren Joyce) who is an ex-United youth coach.

I suspected the pressure would be huge cos there more people there than the capacity of all the other premier league club stadia apart from Old Trafford. And not ordinary fans only, SAF and current players and even club legends were there.

Secondly Joyce used a 3 man back line and packed his midfield with physically imposing players. They then pressed us at the back which limited our ability to play out at the back with Vitek our ball playing goalie.

We then had to resort to long balls since Vitek and his defenders were pressed so hard. Unfortunately our most advanced players McNeill the no9 and Hansen-Aaroen the no10 are not built for aerial balls. This was what took the game out of our hands as Gore and Mainoo the 6 and 8 were limited to mop up duty.

Second half our manager removed McNeill for Hugill who can hold up the ball better to try to improve things but it was until Oyedele (who is quite a bully) came in for Hansen-Aaroen to play the 6 (thereby sliding Gore up to 8 and Mainoo up to 10) that we finally had control of the game.
