Russia is financially, natural resources rich and has a vast landmass, armies, science and industrial complex with big population to wage wars.

If not for the indirect interference of NATO&Russia soft approach because of their shared history, Ukraine would have been decimated since. In Ukraine Russia is already fighting NATO as well as Ukraine and for NATO this is also a revenge to Russia for interfering and defeating them in Syria where NATO's agenda to remove Mr. Assad failed.

Remember China is watching keenly and if Russia decides to activate their Chinese allies(they both have no limits technical cooperation allegiance agreement) then it's officially a troubled world.

Believe me Alot of non-western/Europe countries hate that NATO group and will capitalize on any opportunity to see to it's destruction if any conflict of global scale arises.
This is why most non-western/European nations have refused to join NATO against Russia or sanction them because NATO was created to subdue others not in their gang.

These Nordic countries have decided to move away from a place of safety that comes with neutrality into a place of insecurity/conflicts that comes with alliegance.
As it seems Turkey(another coded ally of Russia) may likely scuffle the plans of these Nordic nations)...beside the membership approval& joining process is another long haul.

This why the Spaniards &Portuguese are always smart because they know how to thread with caution in transnational conflicts such as this by not heavily involving themselves but keeping to the safe interest of their nations.

The UN has shown itself to be a manipulated,biased& toothless organization with no teeth and lacks the ability to engineer world peace.

Anyone that cherises world peace will not applaud the move of these Nordic countries (Sweden&Finland) to join NATO because it is a senseless move to excalate issues and drag the world into conflicts as this move will can create deadly chain reactions.
