GDP real, GDP nominal, GDP (PPP), GDP per capita are all just academic crap that aren’t cognisant of a lot of other factors, including the country’s total debt profile. These things neither measure true wealth nor wealth distribution - they’re useful for business activity and the currency in circulation.

A country like America with huge GDP per capita and GDP (PPP) doesn’t really translate to the standard of living for the average American since the top 1% controls 90% of the wealth. And it’s the same for all countries in Europe, excluding Scandinavian countries.

Whichever GDP you picked - it’s still very flawed. The true wealth of a country is measured by resources in context of population size and self-sustainability.
