Madness is mentally sick.

Obasanjo indicting himself.
The country he fought for to remain one requires madness to be governed.
In other words, Nigeria is not fit for a country.

IT SHOULD BE A GRAVE AGONY FOR HIM AS HE LIVE TO WATCH THE COUNTRY HE PARTICIPATED IN DESTROYING, BEFORE HIS DEMISE.

Nothing can be more agonizing than witnessing the result of your own evil machinations depresses demoralizes and wreck unmitigated havoc on your psyche and soul.

THE CRY AFTER SPILLED MILK IS NOT ONLY HYPOCRITIC RATHER DISINGENUOUS AND INSULTING TO OUR SENSIBILITIES. THIS MAN HAS BELITTLED US ENOUGH. ABOUT TIME WE RID OURSELVES OF HIM IGNORE HIM AND DISCARD HIM FROM OUR EXISTENSE.

Twice he meddled in our lives and messed us up. Somebody should ask this BRUTE to shut his trap or keep it to himself.

OBJ is an obnoxious irritant and must keep off.

God1000:
Nigerians are truly intractable and irrepressible, but having strong institutions and exemplary leadership will make things right

Exemplary leadership and strong democratic institutions can never emerge from present Nigeria as restructured by northern military dictators, and governed under quasi unitary government system.

Obasanjo was there mostly at the various Armed forces governing councils led by northern soldiers when they proliferated 19 states and Abuja in one Northern region, but created only 17 states in the two old southern regions.

Land mass or population figures is never used in federations formed by diverse regions as yardstick to proliferate too many new political units in a region with larger land mass or population.

The skewed, lopsided and fraudulent political structure allows northern politicians too many economic and political advantages, including, political overrepresentation to largely determine who can preside over Nigeria.
Democratic institutions get weaker in Nigeria as the political structure springs up bad leadership at the top during every presidential election.

See who's talking. Someone that had the opportunity to take Nigeria to greater heights but didn't. The privatisation programmes he did during he's tenure made life difficult for a lot of families. Their layoff benefits are still being owed to this day including other mismanagement of the country. And yet they keep parading themselves as a good leader. I don't blame, I blame the people still voting in people of outdated mindset. The 1999 era kind of politics shouldn't be reinforced again.

Obj definitely had passion for Nigeria. Maybe if he had been a little madder he would have forced that third term and we would have sha had 4 more years of prosperity and maybe he would have finished sorting out power.

Instead we got stagnation in the form of yardua/gej and now outright regression in the form of Buhari.

NIGERIA SHOULD BE RESTRUCTURED SO THAT IT CAN WORK.

Decentralise the federal powers and lets us go to regionalism.

The madness in Nigeria is the over centralisation of federal powers in Abuja.

It has kept Nigeria away from development.

Governors goes cap in hand to Abuja to beg for stipend.

With all Baba madness in eight years, we still don't see the power sector functioning, we did not see transparency with his madness.

Baba no lie. Nija is too complex for a sain person to rule. Too much diversity.

On a serious note, the person must put ethnicity aside and rule like a Nigerian. Not Igbo, Yoruba, Fulani or ibiobio acclaim person.

Obasanjo, one of the greatest Sages of our time!

Baba, everything you took your time to build has been messed up by the crop of politicians in APC that came to deceive all of us. The only strong institutions remaining are the ones built by you that are too strong to be destroyed.

In almost all parastatals of this country you have Fulani heading them, a tribe so engrossed with blood sucking tendencies.

We don't need another Muslim in power, the past seven years experience is not a thing to repeat.

Better give us a thief than a fool, a Yoruba adage goes.

Can you mention, at least, 3 of the remaining strong institutions built by Obj?

Obasanjo, tell Buhari to do the right thing at the right time to avoid looming disintegration of Nigeria.
Buhari should hand over power to the South the way Goodluck Jonathan handed over power to the North or something outrageous, disastrous and unimaginable will happen in Nigeria

shalloW thinker spotted. You don’t even. Obj mean more than what you are saying. He is right. Nigeria at the moment need strong and mad people like Putin, Turkish leader, Abacha, Gadafi , Sadan Hussein and the likes. Those you mention are weak and will/has still be over run by the powerful people in Nigeria. We need a leader that if he says do and you don’t you face the consequences

The foundation upon which Nigeria is built is faulty and you can't built on a faulty foundation. Except that foundation is revisited, reatructred and reinforced the country has no future... This is the truth. When I see all these aspirants talking about making the current structure with faulty foundation work, I laugh and don't take them serious. People like Obasanjo who benefitted from the weakly structures Nigeria will always take the wy he talks.
