You've been inactive for a long time, you have to get a client and get a gig, but clients will see your profile when you apply.

Yes he has hired someone. Data Entry should be the icing on the cake as most Virtual, Administrative or Executive assistants would be expected to do some form of DE. If it is only everyday data entry, I am afraid you have just 1 in a 100 chance. Especially when put up against those Filipinos.

Well said. If the job is one that requires good spoken English. Maybe a customer care or phone support role, attach a voice recording. I advised a friend to do this and it worked like magic. Saves the client time and puts you as a proactive applicant.

First, read the quote below. It's a review I did for another Upwork freelancer's profile on request. I've left the parts that I think apply to your profile.

2.) You used a photo with a filter as your profile picture: unprofessional.
3.) Suggestion: set your work availability [i.e., hours per week] to "As needed."
5.) You outlined just 5 skills (out of a possible 15) on your profile.
7.) Your overview isn't in the best shape: you don't sell yourself or mention anything about the service you purport to offer.
8.) Your profile needs to be proofread. Spelling & grammar errors do great damage to your persona as a professional.
