Why we Nigerians always think like this?
As if there is this Okowa has achieved as Governor of Delta State.

The VP should be a personality with economic ideas together with economic team advise the President on how to improve on the economy etc,

we need a sound VP that will join economist, technocrat in drawing out workable economic blueprints to help salvage our dwindling economy.

Atiku or whoever from North needs a sound economic expert from the core South-East region as running mate.
To give that region a sense of belonging.

The VP shouldn't necessary be a politician, but u know Nigerian factors/mentality, we always want politicians in every positions of responsibility such as ECONOMY, &that has kept us backward.
We should take a model from the Asian Tigers, such China, Singapore, Malaysia etc

Not just throw in Failures as running mate just because they bought expensive presidential form to contest in which they feel entitled to be VP as compensation.
This is not acceptable/practicable in saner climes.

Atiku needs a quiet, 100% loyal but hardworking VP who will not be openly challenging his boss. Udom Emmanuel fits that bill.

The reason APC led INEC postponed deadline for primaries is to make sure that APC consult and strategize well after knowing who wins the PDP ticket . The North will vote massively for a Northern Muslim than a candidate from any other region . Atiku gave PMB a real run in 2019 . I won’t be surprised if APC fields a Northerner too .

Tinubu does not enjoy the kind of popularity Buhari had in the North. If he wins the primaries , he will need a very strong and popular northern figure to join him as VP on a Muslim -Muslim ticket .

Atiku might go with a South easterner. If Peter Obi had remained in PDP, he probably would have been running mate to Atiku. Governor Umahi would have also most likely been a strong choice for VP if he was still in PDP especially with his influential standing as a governor and then the agitation for a South East presidency. These would have swung the choice of VP in his favor. But unfortunately he made that daft move in joining APC and ended up losing in both ends. Umahi can't even be VP in APC especially if a southern candidate is chosen by APC. Obi and Umahi bleeped up big time, especially Umahi.

Wike shot himself in the foot. The man is just too uncouth in speech and actions and doesn't understand the word diplomacy. Everything to him is fight and do or die. Even I as a southerner never fancied him. You have to build bridges even with your perceived enemies in order to win their support. You don't go about insulting people and still expect them to give you votes like they're fools
