My mechanic recommended I remove my Lexus ES330 indomie (Catalytic Converter) following some abnormal car issues observed.
The 2 front indomie were removed today and someone already came and priced it 70k.

Can I get a better deal for it elsewhere?
What are your thoughts guys

I've considered removing mine before.

Eventually it gets blocked and becomes useless so why not remove to sell when it's still working and you can make good money from it.

My indomie got bad making my engine behave abnormally and my mechanic recommended I remove it. That's all

He is not selling it for someone else to use, block head. The rare metal platinum inside the converter is what makes catalyst converters very expensive, and prone to theft. whether it is working or not, na still expensive market.

The catalyst formulation comprises three key constituents: precious metals (platinum, palladium, rhodium), alumina, and rare-earth-based materials which enhance catalytic activity of the metals.
So whether the device is functional in a car or gotten dysfunctional, it still contains the precious metals which makes it very expensive. That is why it is usually a target for theft in a car
