I visited a public school the other day and I wept at the deplorable state of buildings and learning structure of the school..

Banning of okada here and there is nothing compared to banning of bad roads, epileptic power supply, vote buying,banning of problem of civil servants' payments, to mention a few..

Thank God I'm not Igbo(don't reason like them), I woulda said the government is banning okada because they're mostly northerners doing the business...

Lagos is a non man's land. Lagos originally belong to the Ijaws and Binis. Yorubas in Lagos migrated there from elsewhere. A good example is Tinupoo who come from Iragbiji in Osun.

That place na hell when it comes to holdup, and it can give these hoodlums chance to be robbing motorist people during serious holdup due to lack of security.

Banning Okada in Apapa, especially Tincan shows how distant the government is from the people... Which commercial bus would want to ply that area? Road that is always unaccessible 24hrs because of trucks and tankers packed on all the lanes... Even Okada struggle for space on those roads.

There was this type of ban in July 1 2020. That day my DISPATCH BIKE was collected at Ajegunle Police station by one officer Musa and Lawal. The same bike was sold to one "pick up" man in my presence.

Okada is very useful in Lagos because of insolvable traffic jam issue. The problem is that okada riders are a bunch of senseless people.
1. No caution for safety
2. Always using the wrong lane (going against traffic rules)
3. Lack of proper documentation of riders, making it easy for people to commit crimes with bikes
4. They are bloody opportunitists because they rocket their fares when roads block.
5. And I can go on and on.

Wahala. I hop d state government of Lagos also have another means to tackle this syndrome. Because in one way or the other, it will bring another crime in another way.

Yea let it bring another crime they will be dealt with the govt should never yield to any excuses from banning okada in Lagos because some other state did same though in term of moving around in Lagos okada helped to a greater length but since they take ridding of okada as way of committing crime and they have be warned severally I think banning them is the right thing.

In addition bro I want you to think about it Okada is not Aboki business the mistake all of you are making is you think those ridding okada are our Aboki, hell No, they are not our Aboki. A confirmed report showed that police raided and siezed over 400 okada after they killed that young man in Lekki and when all the 400 riders where profiled it was discovered 392 of them out of 400 are not Nigerian and these guys attaced, harassed and even killed at will pls can our citizen do what these animals are doing in our land in their own country? No.

These people came in under pretends of oh I'm Aboki simply they can speak little Hausa and they are Muslims that was all pls its not done our country is too porous and too loose every dick and Harry just took us fi granted. Even Turji the bandit warlord we learned he is not a full Nigeria citizen imagine how many of our citizen that boy had killed pls can our citizen do such in Mali, Burkinafao, Senegal, Niger

They should ban the okada in those axis and anyone that forment any trouble should ealt with ruthlessly. Enough is enough of strangers invading our space.

why are you thanking God you are not Igbo?is there something you know that we don't?or is it not because of that sound engineer they collectively butchered ,lynched and roasted alive caused this total ban on okada activities,or do you think a same governor will sit down and watch his state desend into anarchy initiated by this northern motorcycle gangs,it is still possible for us to pass our ideas and opinions without petty childish tribal sentiments.

If okada riders in Lagos were dominated by the Igbos, you would have seen lots of people wailing that Igbos are being targeted and are hated.
