Good evening Nairalanders,

My landlord told me to vacate his building when my rent due that his children want to allocate the apartment. He said this the night I gave him my rent fee last year.
I told him he shouldn't have collected the money since he want me me out of the apartment but he said he was giving me formal notice and I replied this is Nigeria sir, you are supposed to ask me to look for another apartment with the money and give me some months to do that and he said "well" let see how it goes. He went back to UK. Few months to the expiration of my rent, a lawyer came to give me Quit notice but when I went through the notice, I was given a month after my rent due which is June 30th. Till date I didn't sign the notice cuz I was still thinking of going to meet the legal practitioner for extension of the date but to my surprised my Landlord called me this evening to know if I have vacated the building while my rent just due yesterday 31st may.

Please Legal Practitioners in the House
What can I do cuz I've been trying to save some money for new apartment but the money is not just enough for a room self contain. As a Family man with 2 kids I will need at least A room and parlour self contain or two bedroom apartment.
I would appreciate your advice.

Am planning on this. Just that I need little time to save more for atleat self contain so what am suggesting is to go meet the Lawyer for extension consideration

Not too worry, you still have At-least 6months there to look for another apartment.

Currently in need to get a new apartment, but all efforts to raise money proved abortive.
Even the little I tried to raised has been used to stake bet with the hope of getting double of the money, but I lost all and am left without other options except I sell off my LAND as fast as possible to raise money.
