Please, does anyone know how I can recall my DS160 that I have submitted? Please, this is very urgent.
Sunkanmi64:
What do you want to do exactly? Do you want to change something on your DS-160?
You can't change anything on an already submitted DS-160 but you can retrieve most of the information in it and have it exported to a new DS-160. Then you can correct whatever you want on the new one before submitting. Just make sure you update your CGI portal with the confirmation number of your preferred DS-160 before your interview.

If you got an admission without a funding and have submitted same in the DS-160 and later got another admission from another school with funding. Is it possible to retrieve the submit DS-160 and change the school as well as the SEVIS no?

see this
PS it's from last year, so there might be few differences.

Stevenssen:

First of all get your i-20 from the new school. Then,

For your ds-160 :
Retrieve your old ds-160 form, it'll tell you that this form has been submitted and ask if you want to view the confirmation page or create new one from it, select the later option. A new one will be created with many details from the old one and only very few key information that you have to refill. You can as well make changes anywhere on the new one if you want.
Make sure you write the new number out and update it on your profile.
ps : you can update your ds-160 on your profile as long as it's more than 72 hours to your interview.

For your Sevis fee : go to fmjfee dot com . Check your i901 status, then from there you'll see an option to transfer to a new school.

Also remember to update the necessary details on your visa appointment profile.

Date of your orientation would suffice. So it should be the first date not the date your classes start.

if date of orientation is same as 'earliest admission date' on i20 and 'program start date' is when your classes start.
For EA , which do you u use out of the 2 dates to get the 60 day?

Having a ob to return to is a strong home tie. It's not a good idea to say you don,t work, except for someone (very young person) going for undergraduate program. You have a relative who is working in the US, you must show a strong home tie to convince the consular officer that you will come back. One of the ways to show that is having a good job to return to. Think about that.

Re: General USA Student Visa Enquiries-part 16 by Nxxxx: 8:43pm On Jun 06, 2022
Hello everyone, hope everyone is doing great here.

I have an advise for most the applicants who always say they are employed and end up being denied. Here is the trick. If you are currently employed for years and then you go for your visa interview and ask who is paying for your trip. The visa officer wants to hear something related to your own money because you have been working BUT immediately you say someone else is paying “they then think you are lying about the job you stated”.

So please always add as follows: “ I have some savings in my account but my “family” member will be assisting me with the other part. And make sure to show proof you got the money in your account.

This is the the lady who went twice failed because you keep saying you are working but you can’t even show small expenses from your own pocket.

Secondly, please stop using words like “I will return and be a senior manager or etc” they are getting tired of hearing those things so they have started denying people. Maybe it might work for some people but you can also say “ I will return and assume my role while for a period of 6months before being promoted to a senior role”. This is what most companies do. When you return you must go through a trial period first before being promoted.

Good luck to everyone…. Franklin

You will use orientation date because that’s few days after resumption.

Reply: here is a very simple reason why you got denied twice and if you still make this mistake you will still be denied all the times.

First you don’t work, secondly how. An you solve IT problems in your father’s company when you don’t work there? It means you lied. Take a look at both of the transcripts you just wrote: you were denied immediately you were ask about your work. So please hope you have seen the error your making.

The best and only way is filling a new DS160 because when you submit you have submit.

Hi guys.

My cousin intends to sponsor my graduate program and he wants to use his business's bank statement to cover the proof of funds. Will that be okay?

When filling the financial verification form of the university, should he use his personal name or the name of his business?

Also during my visa interview, do I need to go with the CAC forms of his business or will his bank statement suffice?
