Hello everyone how can I prepare for the jamb exam effectively. Should I make use of their syllabus? Or past questions? I have limited time to read which is around 3hrs. I believe that should suffice for one topic every day. My target score is 370. school UNN. I need advice from the great men here.
Hello there, it's a nice thing you decide to start UTME preparation from now, I bet you, 3hrs everyday is more than enough to hit that target if you start reading now till next year. First, get very good textbooks.
New school Chemistry + Lamlard chemistry + UTME Pamphlet for chemistry

New school Physics + Lamlard physics + ALL inclusive physics textbook + Physics pamphlet

Modern + Biology pamphlet

Any good English textbook.
Read those books religiously with constant revision and solve lots of questions. Pray as well and 300+ will be yours

Br how many hours do you studies per day when were preparing for your UTME Exams
Ruggedfighter:
Congratulations on your admission bro, but if medicine is really what you seek, then keep writing.

I got admission my first jamb, I rejected it and had to write 3 more jamb exams before I got biochemistry, I had to accept it but I wrote 2 more times before I got medicine and surgery. It's too late to give up on your medicine dream bro, who knows, you may just be closer than you think, I understand your frustration and all because I've been in your shoes, but I'm telling you to just try again. All the best.

Hi Clinton. I'm an aspirant of uniport and interested in the post UTME questions. Although this days I've been flirting with the temptation to do a change of institution to RSU due to ongoing strike by ASUU.
But my love for uniport keeps holding me back. What do you think? Do you share the same sentiments?
I did'nt want to make it known but I changed my school to RSU 2 days ago.
Due to many factors that I may not be able to enumerate here. As for you, I 100% think you should change(especially considering your score). Forget about love of school. Medicine is the SAME everywhere as long as it has been accredited by MDCN and NUC. No one will ask you where you graduated from.
Finally, May God guide and direct your choice. God bless you.

Hello Gold, I've just read your post now. But schools you romanticize with are good for Medicine if not for the issues of ASUU strike which has unfortunately become a reoccurring decimal in recent times, I would say UNIPORT is better than RSU considering about 10 factors which I may not like to enumerate here for private reasons. With your JAMB score, you can get Medicine in UNIPORT more easily than RSU if you do the "urgent" needful.

@ RUGGEDFIGHTER....i really appreciate you brother. But the issue is the nursing science is offered by a college of nursing in abia state which at the end of the programme you will be issued ND/HND, RN (registered nurse) but my sist( already a midwife) said i should decline the admission bc of their certificate and it is an archaic method of training a nurse which is managed and runs by a hospital. Should i accept and still stay in that college of nursing to prepare, read and rewrite jamb or decline the admission to allow me prepare adequately?

If you or anyone you know is writing UNIPORT POST UTME, I have something that might help you. I have the QUESTION BANK.(that is the pool of questions from which UNIPORT will set her questions). I got it for #2500 from the ICTC but I am willing to give it to anyone for FREE. Just mention me if you are interested
PS: I only have the section for sciences especially medical aspirants like me.
Hello bro, I need the question bank and I would grateful if you can send it to me. I have emailed you my number to the email address provided. Thanks

Bro, Calm down, I'm not talking about accreditation issues here. I didn't even enumerate on the reasons yet. For a fact I was diplomatically conservative about it. Besides, I was strictly replying to"Gold" not you.

If you have your own questions and you direct it to me or to the general thread, trust me, I'll answer you succinctly well

2 THINGS are involved. Either to accept the admission or you decline it. From your posts that I have read so far, you have no penchant for Nursing and in view of that earlier been said, I would rather advise you decline the offer. With your UTME score, shoot your shot well for post UTME (Plan A). Plan very well to attend a good jamb tutorial centre for 2023 UTME (Plan B) or undergo your university of choice remedial/pre-degree/basic program (which offers you dual chances of admission) and possibly learn some skills/entrepreneur(if it would be convenient) while you study and wait if possible.

I 100% second this.
@SF123, as long as it's not a B.Sc Nursing degree, do not go for it. You just might end up wasting your parents' money on what you have no penchant for.
Do as Rursh said. Sometimes being patient pays off in the later end. If you start preparing for next year's utme now, you have more than ample time to correct your previous mistakes. If you feel you can't study on your own, look out for a good jamb tutorial centre. Never underestimate the power of attending a good tutorial centre with proof of annual turnout of excellent jamb results. You could also learn a skill as he suggested.
