How Do I Share The Rooms? by teekay213(m): 11:17am On Jun 13, 2022
Hi,

I got a 2bedroom flat because the place is close to me and my wife place of work.we couldn't get a 3bedroom around the area cos that was the one we saw at the time and it was not costly.

But here is the problem I have a 19yrs old boy waiting for admission and a 16yrs old girl in ss3 but I don't know how to allocate the 2 bedroom maybe my wife and I should take one and leave the other room for my son and daughter but my girl is already a lady and she doesn't want to share a room with her brother,,am also thinking my wife should share one room with our daughter while I share the remaining room with my son but what if me and my wife need each other.

Where we relocated from we had 3 bedrooms and everyone had his room but because that was the only apartment near and less costly we had to take it.

have a talk with your kids and let them understand why things are the way they are.

In terms of sharing, you can get a second mattress or foam possibly 2 by 6 type and place in the room where the kids are to stay, let the eldest occupy the bigger foam and the youngest takes the smaller foam which would be placed on the floor

Or better still get a wooden bunk bed of 3 by 6 that would make one person stay up and the other stay down

Let your son be sleeping in the sitting room then or is that not a space. I'm suggesting this to prevent any form of sexual immorality between the two of them. Though the boy can still share the room with her, only that he can not sleep there at night.

By the way, what of family of six that live in a room and parlor apartment? Are they not living fine.?
That your girl is being too choosey and I think you caused it. Teach your children how to manage when things are not so rosey otherwise they'll grow up not being contented or knowing how to manage hard times.

Nothing too difficult here

If your daughter insists she won't share the room, I think you need to sit your family down and ask for suggestions.

What a nonsense from a Girl of 16yrs . What about a family of more than 5 adults (male and female including the parents) living only in Room. What if you don't have money for 3 Rooms.

1. If one of the two rooms is big enough, get a carpenter to demarcate with plywood and create doors. You would just need smaller beds for each room.

2. Take a look at your parlour to see if it's big enough to carve out a small room for either of the kids.

3. Consider the possibility of turning the whole parlour to a 3rd room.

4. Consider just using a thick curtain to divide the room for your children. Afterall, one is almost out of the house.

Good luck.

What a mentality @16yrs . What if the parents cannot afford 3rooms, so she should expect her parents to go into thieving abii?? Haven't you seen a family of 6 living in one room and parlour self Cone before. U mean the family should be lavising money for house rent because she is a daughter,16 for that matter. When Has it become a crime for Siblings to Live in one room
UpInTheSky:
Because she doesn't want to share a room or what has she done wrong to warrant this comment?
OP says "she's a lady?", which likely means she's very developed, plus she's at that age where girls like having their own privacy and there's nothing wrong with that.
I'm sure if the other sibling were a girl like her, she wouldn't mind sharing a room with her.

OP says "she's a lady?", which likely means she's very developed body-wise,
so having them share the same room
may not be a good idea.

I'm sure if the other sibling were a girl like her, she wouldn't mind sharing a room with her.

OP, try this. This's the most sensible comment so far and what you should do, given the dilemma at hand.

Get something (e.g. a non-see-through curtain, or a [big] board like Aaaaarghmed suggests) to demarcate the room into two.
That way, she will have her privacy and space in the room.
Your 19-yr old son would probably appreciate that as well.

if I demarcate the room there won't be ventilation..heat will deal with one of them.i thought of that before and the room is not that big

..... Rubbish. Why not rent a duplex for her.Or better still let her sleep in your room while you and your wife sleep in the parlour.
Nonsense.
Soft spot ni hardspot ko.
A minor that you will tell what to do is now telling you what to do.There are duplexes in that vicinity go and rent one so that she can have her separate room.

I wonder how some adults reason here. undecided undecided

Why not ask your daughter why she doesn't want to share the room. She might be aware of sth about her brother or herself, That can lead to sth else.

Demarcating the room is also a good option.

The street Where i lived before a brother was sexually engaged with his sister because of her hot body.he wasnt ashamed to say it out.

Why not do it this way, mother and daughter in one room while you and son in the other room. Any day you want to have sex with your wife, tell son to hang in the sitting room for the night. He’s already a man. He should understand. Abi you think he doesn’t know his mom moans at night? grin

Being husband and wife doesn’t mean you two must share the same room. When I get married sef I don’t wish to share the same room with my wife. She can always sleep in mine while I can also sleep in hers.

Hi bros Teekay213,

This is not a difficult issue at all. In fact ur daughter is right for not wanting to share room with her brother but that needs to be corrected in a way. Cos saying she doesn't want to share the room entirely with him is not possible in this sitn. Both of them would share the room togeda but both of them shouldn't sleep in the room togeda

Bro can be sleeping in the sitting room but his wears would be kept inside the room I believe the room has a wardrobe and if it doesn't pls get one so they can ve separate space to keep their wears in the room whilst in the night, the bro sleeps in the sitting room.

Pls ignore the insults from oda people and people saying she is ova pampered. She is an old teenager and she needs some privacy and it is not morally right to allow both brother and sister share the same bed

Nothing is impossible. Don't give the devil a chance. Constant body touching could arouse any of the siblings. It will first start slowly and unintentional until it gets to the final bus stop.

I would suggest they live in the same room but separate beds. The girl can use the bathroom to change her clothes and deal with other private issues.

16 is not an older teenager. The last time I checked, teenage age starts from 13.

Husband and wife shouldn't let their children know on the night they are about to get intimate, it isn't right.

The girl is still young and at this age, she thinks there's anything special about her body. My married elder sisters can expose their breast before me and it means nothing to them and to me. What's there about the body other than the breast and her pussy?

If there's a strong sibling relationship between the two, I don't see why a small 16 year old will feel that uncomfortable with her elder brother who's 3 years older than her. It's not like she's the older one here.
