I was taking pregnacare plus. I think all pregnacare has folic acid of 400ug which if converted to mg is 0.4mg, while the regular folic acid is 5mg. So the difference is high. Check the pack of your pregnacare max

My doctor here also prescribed 5mg folic acid daily. I didn’t check the dosage before because DH was the one that bought it after it was prescribed. After I saw your post , i checked and was alarmed (In my knowledge, the prescribed dosage for pregnant women is 0.4 - 0.8 mcg) I started checking different pregnancy groups, I saw a lot of women claim that their doctors increased their dosage.
Finally I asked in a WhatsApp group of pregnant mamas in the country where I live and they all said their doctors prescribed 5mg too and that it’s normal.
I’m relaxed but I already ordered a prenatal that already has 0.6mcg. I don’t know if I should still combine the 5mg bayi. Too much folic acid is also bad.

I woke up on 28th May, 2022. Went to the toilet to pee and saw whitish discharge I knew immediately that baby was on his/her way cos I wasn't sure of the sex.

I went about doing my house chores. No other sign of labour for days. 2nd June (my next appointment) I told hubby the previous day that I will be going for check up. He was busy I had to go alone. The mid wife checked and told me that baby was in cephalic position and complained of post date, I was sent to see the doctor, I went, vital signs were checked, baby's position was checked and the doctor told me that the baby was not lying well (transverse), I'm overdue, had previous CS can't be induced bla bla bla i was shocked cos i scanned two weeks before then and everything was fine. The doctor then booked me for CS the next day. Where de money?
I went somewhere quiet and cried my eyes out.

I called hubby immediately and he came to the hospital, he met me crying and he was visibly shaking , he asked what the problem was and I couldn't talk I just handed him my folder, no patient to read through i now explained to him. He suggested we meet another doctor, we met him luckily he was with the other doctor, I was scanned and we were told that baby was oblique, big and if my uterus start contracting with the size of the baby I might have a case of ruptured membrane or uterus. They told us that we should thank God I didn't go into Labour before then. Hmmm! Too many complications we had no option
I slept in the hospital against the next day 3rd June, contractions all through the night I was like, see contraction I was hoping for since e no come.

On 3rd June, the doctors had an emergency case after which they prepared me for for theatre. At 8:45am the injection was given. Past 9am I was told baby was out crying his lines out. I was discharged 1week after cos it's a general anesthesia.

I was hoping for Vbirth but I thank God I didn't go into labour before the CS

Hubby is overjoyed God don give am boy. Men and baby �

Thanks for sharing but seriously i do not see need for diclofenac in that prescription abi am i the only one seeing this. I decided to speak out so that another parent will not make this mistake or use this prescription. I really do not want to comment further but pls let us ask some questions in the hospital from the doctor, nurse and pharmacist e get why atimes your questions bring their consciousness back and you will be attended to well.

It means there is presence of malaria parasite in his system that might be resistant and also infection.
My baby girl fell sick in April and that was exactly the result from her test.
The doctor prescribed
1. Malaria injection for 3 days(Emal)
2. Antibiotics.
3. Lonart malaria syrup for another 3 days to be started a day after the injection ends.
4. The Diclofenac was the one to be insert in her bum cos she was having crazy fever.

PS: pls note that I'm not a doctor or nurse. My daughter is 2yrs old and the drugs and dosages were prescribed and calculated for her age.

Good Morning fruitful mamas. It appears I'm suffering Insomnia but that notwithstanding I'm here to pour out my concern and get answers to my questions. Who knows if that's why sleep haff left my eye sef. #sighs.

So I went for a scan two days ago, was told by the sonographer that my baby is in Oblique position (diagonal, like the head is resting on my hip). It's not horizontal and it's not vertical. I asked about the baby size, he didn't tell me the actual baby size. I asked if he was over-weight judging by the gestational age he said "no he's not, but there's a tendency of that happening" whatever that means. I'm 31weeks gone
So my concerns are these...:
1. What can I do to aid this oblique position?
2. Is there any sleeping position recommended just for the purpose of turning the baby on time? (I'm asking this because MIL is advising I sleep on my right side, since the baby's head is on my right hip). I sha don't buy that advice.
3. How do I know if he's turning downwards or upwards?
4. What assurance do I have that my baby will be in cephalic position in 5weeks time?
5. Abeg this baby size/weight that the Sono is talking about like this, is there any food or drink I should avoid completely until delivery. And is there any particular food recommended to be taking at this point.
These and many more questions are going through my mind. Please kindly help in answering any of the questions that you have answers to.
Meanwhile my baby is very very active and moves a lot even as I type. I just hope he's moving to the right direction mbok

Congratulations ma'am, May your 9months stay ends in joy....According to your LMP u are 8weeks and ur EDD is 19th of January, but I will advice u go for an early scan to know your actual weeks

This is why I am never too in a hurry to announce my bfp. Because I might be disappointed at the end. Another miscarriage at 7 weeks. Baby embryo stopped growing. No heartbeat. This is the second miscarriage the first was December. What could be the cause mamas. Am devastated.

Hello ma, baby being in an oblique lie at that moment you had the scan does not mean he is still in an oblique lie at present.. There's still enough space in the uterus for him to move around and he's still moving... I had a scan at 33 weeks that showed my baby was breech and the following week I went for antenatal with the result.. Immediately my doctor saw the result he told me to lay down for a scan, on scanning my baby was cephalic again... You are not 36 weeks or more yet so lots of n positive things can happen regarding any turning.

Also try reading about the position online but be open as he's still turning here and there

To ur question,first thing i will ask,were you on these drugs?
Progesterone vaginal insert
Vasoprin 75mg
Clexane injection

If no,then pls when next u r preggy because it will come sooner dan later by God's grace. Use them
Most miscarriages are unexplainable or with no known cause. But these drugs above have been used by seasoned gynaecologists to help women carry to term.

Cry if you want to mama,but wipe ur tears after a while. Talk to God and tell Him how you feel. Tell him everything is in His hands and He should take control.
Pls dont beat ursef up so much,for the heartbeat to stop means the baby was not ok chromosomally or otherwise. Ur perfect baby is coming. We will all be here to read about it!

Just stroll into your phone's app store and download a pregnancy app or more, input that April 14 as your LMP and it will calculate your EDD, you can also follow your weekly progress.. Of all the ones I downloaded, the installed one in the picture below is my favourite
