Bishop Onaga of the Catholic Diocese of Enugu state has slammed a ban on Rev Fr Ejike Mbaka of Adoration ground for attacking Mr Peter Obi.

In a letter from Bishop Onaga, the Bishop ban all clergy, Religious and Lay Faithful in the Catholic Diocese of Enugu from attending all religious and liturgical activities of the Catholic Adoration ministry Enugu until the due canonical process initiated by the Diocese is concluded.

The Bishop said that he had to take this measure because the "teachings and utterances of Fr Mbaka at the Catholic Adoration ministry Enugu are not consistent with the teachings and faith of the Catholic church."

He therefore urged the Catholic faithful to continue to pray for Fr Mbaka.

The Catholic Church should go a step further by defrocking (sack) this embarrassment of a priest.

Better. Mbaka or whatever his name is, should be stopped before he causes irreparable damage to the body of Christ. It's people like Mbaka that are making people lose their faith in Christ and become pagans or convert to Islam and other religions.

See as Mbaka take his own hands destroy adoration ministry he started due to his unguided utterances.

I'm a Catholic, my uncle is even a Rev. Fr. the teachings in Catholic forbids fathers to endorse a political party or a candidate but will tell members to get their PVC and vote according to their conscience.

They will also admonish not to vote due to money inducement, I wonder who told Mbaka that a politician must give him money before his (god) will make the person to win, if such fails to do so that his god will condemn the person to failure.

Giving in Catholic is optional and not obligatory, Mbaka should be examined maybe he's suffering from money intoxication.

I stopped attending Adoration when I realized that Mbaka was unwisely picking battles with politicians. And when those politicians know they cannot get him, they come after the worshippers. This happened at the GTC field years back.

Father Mbaka is not bigger than the Catholic Church. If every priest in the Catholic Church had behaved like Mbaka, the universal church wouldn't have lasted for this long. Admittedly, Mbaka is gifted but he talks carelessly...that's why Archbishop Adewale Martins doesn't want him anywhere near Lagos archdiocese.

The more reason why I love the Catholic faith. There are rules for every engagement, you signed up for it and vowed to abide by it at all times and to be obedient to your shepherd (bishop). Mbaka by virtue of his popularity and success with his ministry, have consistently seen himself as beyond reproach and that explains why he is always having these issues. If he is not careful, this particular incident might end up with him being derobed, so he can go practice his ministry without any bounds and as he deem fit. Catholic was there before him and will still be there after him, and guess what, they don't advertise for members. God bless the church

Is it not too fuc king late in the day?!
This man for several years has been allowed to get away with all manners of anti-catholic acts and behaviours and has almost constituted an authority unto himself.
Unlike Bishop Kukah,he has feels the adoration ministry where he claims to be a visionary and so believed by some,has made him a church unto himself.
The attack on Peter Obi,to me,is even amongts the least of his numerous,chronic indiscretions and indiscipline.
