Atleast this would count for an Igbo vice presidency. |

Mrexcell:My response is directed at a few people up the thread who maliciously insinuated that Okowa is now a bini man or a lesser ibo. Kudos to Ohaneze which recognizes ibo man in every geographical location they can be found in Nigeria. But ohaneze is more of a cultural group today, it has no political will power, it cannot even unite the ibos to put up a common front politically, it is politically dead. Ohaneze cannot even dictate who becomes a governor in a state. So of what use will Ohaneze be when political power and money is on the table. There are wonderful ibos don’t get me wrong. I married an anambra woman and I am delta ibo. I simply pointed out the societal and political ills that will bedevil the ibos and stop them from having the presidency now or in the future. As well as the inherent problems other non eastern ibos will likely face in our collective patrimony. |

redseason:no igbo man will reject other igbo unless we ourselves were rejected. In the hey days of biafra agitations. The eyes of south eastern igbo were opened to the feelings of other Ibos who vehemently denied us and made a mockery of the cause. Brotherhood shouldn't only exist when it is convenient. Simple because an IKA man is the VP shouldn't make us all brothers when you have repeatedly stated you aren't igbo for ages. The same feelings you have for the south eastern igbo is same as we have for your kind. Maybe that will explain why the Unizik you graduated from silently started rejecting applicants from delta |

gidgiddy:Well I transverse this delta north route very well and I can say that these people are Igbo. Majority of them are but not all. You have the Edo element in them. The Edo element are mostly in the elite of society and monarchy. It is the Edo element that wrote most of the early history of these people. Go to Agbor, you still see people answering Osazuwa, Edobor, Ihama and so many Edo names. Another thing that affected them is their long affinity to the Edo people. The Edo people had a great influence on their culture especially the monarchy. If you study Benin interaction with her neighbors, the Benins usually have no business with the ordinary people, they usually go for the leaders of that society. Look at almost all Delta Igbo kings, they carry out their palace style like what you have in benin. Even okowas king has an Edo name instead of Igbo name... Nevertheless, culture is the way of life of a people, the predominant culture in Delta north is Igbo. Hence most of them are Igbos |

ComradeNap:Okowa is not ibo. He is pressing IPOBs mumu button. Go to Ika and say that Okowa is ibo. Rotimi Amechi also claim ibo. Can ibos comfortably go to Ikwerre and call Amechi ibo? Ibo people wise up. Vote Jagaban for a progressive Nigeria. |

redseason:silly nonsense. It was Kaduna Nzeogwu that betrayed the igbos with his senseless coup. Where is he from? South East igbos all agree they are Igbo and therefore can enjoy the benefits. South South igbos on the other hand only became igbos when it suits them. We say fvck em |

Neatboy:Lol, self hate ooo; but it was an ibo man who had all the aces with him that sold the ibos(don’t know for how much) to the sultan and choose to be a president under a Fulani prime minister, rather than be a prime minister in a Yoruba combo. The first person to campaign for a northerner(GYB of Kogi) in this election season when it has been zoned to the south is an Anambra man; yours sincerely uwaziruike, the undisputed leader of Massob. Tell me why Umahi, Rochas, Kalu, Nwajiuba, Ngige all of APC could not come together to put a common front to actualize the ticket. Hope would rather have imo delegates vote Tinubu than Rochas, while Kalu would rather have Abia delegates vote Lawan than his fellow ibos, but somehow, it’s self hate. Something nearly all Yoruba aspirants did for Tinubu with the exception of Osinbande who ended up being booed and called a traitor. But same Kalu found it convenient to rather campaign for a Yobe man with 3 heavy weights of ibo extraction still in the race. The ibo man is the ibo man’s problem, wether you deny it will not change the facts. |

Razgas:Kwantinue! It was Kaduna Nzeogwu that failed to form a government with Awolowo after having an agreement with him the moment the sultan sent for him right? You guys failed to realize that the faults of today was laid in the foundations of yesterday. The faults of tomorrow are currently being laid today. Imagine if the 1960 government started with an intellectual Azikiwe with executive powers! The SS you just insulted has already seen the presidency in this 4th republic, something your hate has prevented the SE from achieving. |

Tranquill:Ewedu muslim, I was waiting for flying monkeys like you to quote me with your usual bumbling buffoonery. Anyim was former Senate president Secretary General of the Federal of the federation. Number 3 and Number 5 citizen of the country. Ihedioha was former Deputy Speaker, number 4 citizen of the county. Tell Wike should face his war for political relevance alone at the federal level. He has no right to come to Anambra and insult our son as a stranger that he is. Ethnicity is major determinant in nigerian politics. He is not Igbo and he can't change that even if he wears a 100 red caps. |

NATIONALPASTOR:The language spoken in Ika is far far removed from the Igbo language. It's not even a dialect of the Igbo language. In Delta, we call them Delta Ibos because they are part of the Delta North senatorial zone. The true Igbos in Delta are those from Oshimili and part of Aniocha and UseleUku. |

Passionnn:Stop writing nonsense. The language spoken in Ika, even as far as Igbanke in Edo state is pure Igbo language. The words are 98% Igbo and any Igbo man from SE especially from Anambra/Imo states, understand Ika easily and they understand us too. Ika is a dialect of Igbo. In Agbor they have one village called Oza-nogogo, those are the only Edo people in Ikaland and they speak an Edoid language totally unrelated to Igbo. Ika can be whatever they choose to be, but the language they speak as mother tongue, is atleast 98% Igbo words. |

Ofodirinwa:Is this the best you could come up with? If you were intelligent, you would know that the word is pronounced either Igbo or Ibo, and both are acceptable. Ogbeni, you don’t win presidency on SM while your kins keep selling your lots to the highest northern bidder! Your kins have been selling your lots since 1960 and I don’t see that stopping soon. It’s inherently in you guys, more like a cultural thing. I love Peter and he is the undisputed best candidate, I was still in Unizik when both Ngige and Obi was governor. I know his pedigree, but he will not even win Anambra state. No structure, no grassroots, just SM euphoria. |

Igboid:This is Igbanke language. Igbanke people are Ikas found in Edo state. So they are the most Edo influenced Ika people. Yet their language remain Igbo. How can someone come and say that Ika is a mixture of Igbo and Edo or mostly Edo. That's nonsense. Ika as far as Language is concerned is atleast 90% Igbo at the Igbanke (Western most Ika in Edo state) and 99% Igbo at Igbodo (Eastern most Ika). Ika have the right to claim whatever identity they want, but you see that language they speak? It's pure Igbo language! Period! |
