Is it free?

Yes, I write SOPs for free provided you graduated with a CGPA not less than 4.50 out of an obtainable 5.0 and you show at least 2 verifiable evidence of at least 3 months nonpaid volunteer job experience with a registered NGO or INGO.

Hi everyone,

On average, how long does it take to get a feedback on emergency visa application, please?
Thanks so much.

I can't say. But I think most US schools benchmark their admission and funding on a 3.0/4.0 CGPA.

You can use this link to convert your CGPA to 4.0 scale

A week or two.
You can use the "provide feedback" tab to send a reminder.

Thanks so much for your feedback. Does that mean I have to wait for a week before I can send a reminder? Meanwhile I submitted an EA yesterday.

Hey! Good day guys.

This is a reminder that the coming sessions (Spring 2023 and Fall 2023) applications are on already. If you are a prospective applicant kick start your application 'yesterday' not even today, I mean, no time.

Don't forget to apply to good schools, right programs, right time and most importantly package your applications VERY VERY WELL to get 'something' (FUNDING) from the school, we all know that a huge % of the 'best in funding' do scale through easily at the visa stage. So, why not try to get funding at the stage you're meant to get it; just try, we know it is not easy. lol

Again, if you're more than 23 years of age; already have a degree or higher diploma, it is NOT ADVISABLE you are trying the Undergraduate application, graduate study is still the best route. You have low cgpa? do result evaluation, write GRE, convincing SOP, a well packaged resume and other application materials. Yeah, they would tell you it worked for 'this' and 'that', so you should also try it, e go shock you that it might take 'you' forever before it work for 'you'. Why not just do the right it to avoid trying and error
Most of the times the VO are not the problem but 'our' profile are. Biko, let us try to get it right from onset.

I don't also see the reason why you should apply to/for a Community College, no excuse to justify that, Biko!

FUN FACT: If you're someone with pure science course (Chemistry, Biology, Agric etc) and you are still in 9ja, it is your 'fault' oh. lol

The above are MOSHKOM's personal opinions, it might count or not.

Good Luck Guys!!!

Hello @justwise and other guru's in the house kindly help.

I wish to apply for a graduate program in the USA. I graduated with a 2:2 (Second class lower) in my first degree and also has an MSC in Statistics.

Now I intend to apply for another masters in USA. Please what are my chances of gaining an admission for MSC in US with such grade?

Plus, is it mandatory I write GRE to be eligible to apply for schools in US.

Finally, can I get a fully funded schorlaship for MSC. In US with such grade?

Thank you in advance, as I await your kind inputs.

WELL.....SOME SCHOOL IN USA DO NOT CONSIDER THE WHOLE UNDERGRADUATE GPA THEY ONLY CONSIDER THE LAST TWO YEARS OF UNDERGRADUATE RESULT(LAST 60 SEMESTER UNIT)

So if you’re able to write good GPA of 3.0 or more on a scale of 4.0 in your last two years then you’re on good for funding

My people I have a question that has been bothering my mind

Well I just finished from school and I never collect degree certificate just transcript
Will it be okay for me to secure admission in USA

AND CONSIDERING MY LAST 2 years GPA after calculating it on scale of 4.0(using WES) it’s 3.21 because if I’m to consider my GPA FOR MY WHOLE UNDERGRADUATE it’s really bad but I’ve seen more than 17schools that considers the last two years and also they have the course I want
Just want you people to guide me and let me know the steps to take to get admission and also to get full funding

Although I have about 7m saved in my bank account for now in case of proof of funds issue

YES you can.

Firstly, how can you relate your existing masters with your intended masters? Pen this down in your Statement of purpose. A second masters is like a two edged sword it can sway in your favor and against also, depends on how you sell your story.

Notably also, try as much to evaluate your CGPA using WES, to rate it on the 4.0 scale.

Your application is holistic, so CGPA is just one of many criteria used. Ensure to have your best recommenders put in detailed word for you. Then also follow up with professors in your department - seeking funding (tell them what you can add to their existing research), and remember to apply early. Follow this guidelines and then your chances of getting funding will be greatly improved.
All the best.

Ans 1. what's your overall GPA from your attachment you need just 2.50
2. Most schools only consider you for funding after you have been admitted. NOTE FUNDING CAN BE GOTTEN FROM ANYWHERE NOT ONLY IN YOUR DEPARTMENT OR FACULTY eg you can work with the library, hostel, non-academic staff offices, etc

Although I have about 7m saved in my bank account for now in case of proof of funds issue
Ans. convert it to USD so as to retain the value as of today

What did you read in your first degree?
with a master's in statistics, you can try MARSHALL UNIVERSITY West Virginia, they are looking for both TA (100% TUTION WAIVER) and GA (70% TUITION WAIVER) round the clock that is if they have what you are looking for.
they will only offer it to you when you get admitted.

The TAs there said they are dying of too much work
