Have u checked that you fufill the conditions... remember automatic UK citizenship by birth stopped in 1983....

I understand the rules,it is automatic Citizenship that was abolished,even when you are born in UK by illegal migrant or a visitor who exist after the child's birth,you can still go there and claim your citizenship once you clock 18.
Your Birth certificate is all that requires

Ask your parents questions...if they were citizens or legal residents, m i.e have indefinite leave to remain (ILR), right of abode
or right to re-admission when you were born...
