The young man involved in the controversial organ harvesting scandal that led to the arrest and detention of Senator Ike Ekweremadu and his wife Beatrice in the UK, David Nwamini Ukpo, has taken to social media to tell his own side of the story.

According to David Nwamini in a Facebook post on Saturday, June 25th, he was allegedly lured from Nigeria to London for the harvesting of his kidney without his consent.

He claimed that they promised him a job and never told him about the organ donation, adding that he got to know about the organ harvesting through the physician who was going to perform the procedure on him.

Ukpo’s post tiled “My journey to UK” read, “On one fateful day I met a man named okoro in a building site where I was working for my daily bread, okoro told me he like me, he want to help me achieve my dream because he saw me as a great person. He told me could you like to work in UK I just started laughing because I don’t have money for that, then I told him no am not interested and asked me why I told him I don’t have money for that.

“I have no other option than to accept the offered, after two day the man came to the building site again and told me the senator wanted to see me so we could start the visa processing, then I dropped my shovel and head pan and went to bath immediately.

“Their later gave me a room on that mansion and snap me a passport photographs and told their will start my visa processing immediately. the kind of food I ate there my generation haven’t ate it before. I was so happy staying in that house. After a week their told me my visa and passport are ready their told we are going to leave tomorrow, I was taken to airport from there we land in UK I was taken to a hospital in UK.

“When we landed in hospital in UK I was told I must went for a medical test to check my health status, if I’m fit for the job I accepted without any question. I thank God for doctor harry who told me everything and I told him why I’m here and he later called police for my rescued.”

The boy is a fraud.

IPOB will always lose. There are multiple agencies involved and all cannot be bought over. And this is an APC government, Ekweremadu belongs to PDP. So, nobody is bought over. Peter Obi and his supporters will always lose.

Even if it is established that the boy is 32 years old, the fundamental allegations levelled against Ike goes beyond that. I do not pity him, God will deal with them one after the other, they have been destroying our country, their lives should be destroyed as well. Wicked criminals.

For the boy, he should just seek asylum, that he would be gruesomely murdered if he's returned to Nigeria, that's all. God answers our prayers in different and diverse ways.

Afterall, Ike and his likes have been playing Nigerians for so long, the boy should play him too, good for him, what was he expecting? Sow mango, reap banana?

No 2. Did he offer the boy money to donate his kidney or did he do it voluntarily? The former is a criminal offence in the UK.

Are Nigerians daft or what? You people really think the British are stupid? Has any of you even thought about the possibility that Sen. Ekweremadu help him procure the said passport? The way we limit our scope of reasoning makes you wonder if we are even normal at all. Does the fact that the passport states that the Vulnerable young man is 22 make any difference if Ekweremadu used his influence in getting the passport? I keep saying this, Nigerians are not ready to fight and end corruption. They are just angry that they not benefitting from the corrupt system. Selfish and Greedy people. Not sure he will be exonerated. This isn't about ipob or labour party. If the whole process was a business transaction between ekwerenmadu and the David guy which it was, then don't get your hopes high.

Nigeria immigration would ask one to review the personal information entered in a passport, agree or correct any wrong information, before the person signs for the passport, and finally places his/her fingerprint on the passport application form.

Did David go through the process?

You as a senator with all your knowledge and travelling experience took someone to place like UK for major operation with perfecting your background runnings?? What were you thinking?

The boy took advantage of the way British police works, lied about his age to gain sympathy and asylum of course, but he didn't know that the person he wants to rope in is a sound lawyer of over 30 years standing that knows his onion. Ekweremadu didn't go through backdoor. He wrote British authorities notifying them of the boys reasons for being in UK. Am sure when he went for his visa interview same questions would have been raised. He just wanted to japa after eating Ekweremadu's money

Also, why has immigration quickly confirmed the boy's age but may take eternity to confirm the authenticity of the passport used by the boy?

The issue is that the boys information predating the international passport such as his BVN links and national identity info shows he is 22. So Ekweremadu's legal team only need to produce or subpoena his records to show that even before he met Ekweremadu, he had already stated his accurate age which I 22 years.

DOES NOT MATTER IF HE’S 50 YEARS OLD…
YOU CANNOT BUY HUMAN ORGANS in the UK or US (under whatever guise).

The UK is not like Nigeria. The Ekweremadus have been charged, but are presumed innocent until proven guilty beyond a reasonable doubt. If the case proceeds, they’ll have their day in a public trial in open court (not on SM) to present their defense.

It’s possible the boy is 21 as his passport shows but that doesn’t mean everything is all clear.
Did he know about the reason for the journey before hand? And even if he knew, what measures did the senator take to make sure that the boy wasn’t agreeing based on duress?

I know it’s possible he wanted to use the opportunity to escape the country and then turn around to claim underage. But the senator being the bigger person here should have done due diligence.
