Praising a Governor for using public funds to do what he’s elected for?

We should be praising you for typing rubbish instead abi? And some people are even liking your post.

How do you justify calling out and criticising Governors who waste public funds in doing what they are not elected to do but being bitter the moment they do something good and worthwhile?
Let's stop being unnecessarily bittered please.

Oga rest

Na Nigeria we dey...
What do you mean by na Nigeria we dey? Were they made to use the funds for personal purpose? This policticians reads our reaction to what ever they do and if we don't react rightly they will continue to do the wrong thing. No body should celebrate a government for building and school or roads , governors should be celebrated when they achieve unusual development in our society.

This will go a long way in serving law graduates in the south south region

My problem with our government is the issue of maintenance of infrastructures

Yes it's very necessary in a clime where many governors will squander such money on personal/family frivolities and still get away with it

Pictures of Multi-Billion Naira Nabo Graham-Douglas Campus of Nigerian Law school in Port Harcourt built by Rivers State Government.

The campus has a 1500 capacity classroom blocks, 1638 capacity hostel blocks, 1500 capacity multipurpose hall, 16 units 3-bedroom flat staff quarters with swimming pool, gymnasium and lawn tennis court.

It has a Library, sick bay, admin block, cafeteria building, store, sporting facilities for students, internal roads/drains, street lights, three power generators of 1000kva each, 2.5mva substation, dedicated fire station, and 40,000 liters water tank.

The campus is named after late Rivers State lawyer, Nabo Bekinbo Graham-Douglas, SAN, who was Attorney-General and Commissioner for Justice for the Federation in the regime of General Yakubu Gowon.
Nigerians don't know how to know a good government. You are hailing this governor for doing these things, the same way you people are amazed at all lagos state governors performances. The thing is that, compare to any states, this two state-Lagos and Delta, have too much money to do this things (lagos much much more).
How we should be gauging good government is by judging them against the money they have.
My assumption is that almost all these governors are average. Lagos government and Delta can actually perform a lot more, but they embezzle state funds and bedazzle us with some projects. And we are deceived because we compare them with other states.

But I have been asking how such infrastructure contribute to the Rivers state economy? Using Rivers state money to build law school, will their tuition fees be paid to Rivers state account? It is not just about Rivers state, it's a general question for all States In Nigeria. In what ways will they contribute to your state economy after spending state resources? NBA has bee generating money for years and I don't know if their revenues are taxed by state government or federal. Why can't NBA use their revenue to build whatever they need?

From any angle you want to look at it, he has done well. What have other governors been using public funds for? Save for Umahi of Ebonyi State, which other governor has been impressive? Mind you, I am not a fan of Nigerian governors.

Imagine doing solar project for this school and you desperately signed a document giving them warranty for 5 years, then after 1 year they call you that the backup time doesnt go beyond 1 hour after six. They will just hand over your case to their students as final year project
