You are being alarmist and not putting your education to good use with this lamentation.

In the first place, gas cost has risen astronomically globally since Russia-Ukraine war started. Read up why it is so.
On your unnecessary dramatics about food, parents still feed their children as no sensible responsible parent will let his or her children go without food because of high gas prices.

For as long as this war continues, gas price will remain high and that is why even Europe has started telling their citizens to cut down on gas usage and switch to alternatives, even EU itself has switched to other energy sources like coal.

If wealthy EU countries can switch to alternatives, that should teach you how to be sensible with your finances too when prices of any commodity is going sky high because of artificial reasons. That is called demand destruction to force price down. In Nigeria, we can switch to kerosene, coal etc to reduce demand for gas so that those who want to further profiteer from the scarcity can reduce their price.

Sensible parents have since bought stoves and coal pots for now like Europeans in order to wait out this war period and will get back to gas when the price falls.
This is the way out not just lamenting and forming a lamentation group.
Gas itself will one day be phased once we perfect the renewables.

Typical Buharist. Blame COVID for the recession, blame the Russia-Ukraine war for high fuel ad gas prices, blame GEJ and his PDP boys for inflation, blame neighboring African countries for high food prices... blame, blame, blame. don't you guys get tired?

Hehe lol funny peeps. The Gas will get to N2000 per Kg then Surpasses and noting will happen. Deception, Manipulation, Suffering, Hardships all forms of Vices have come to stay In Nigeria. If you aren't comfortable with the situation, The best you can do Is find your way out straight. It baffles me all the time that most of you even the supposed educated are not In touch with Reality, The "True & Hidden Plans" the Colonial Masters, The Northerners, The Capitalists & Opportunists have for this Nation. I mean don't you have brains? Don't you have eyes? I am a Angel In Human Form exposing and delivering Classified & Confidential Information to you guys. Yes. And also ask how much the workers in other countries are paid so you can compare with what Nigerian workers are paid.

Your education is even more wasted if you cannot realize that we have gas in Nigeria unlike most western countries experiencing price hikes. We are in same category as major gas producers like Venezuela, Saudi Arabia, Kuwait, Angola and Russia.
Gas is something forefathers used to sacrifice to the gods for just to get spillout cleaned up from their water. Today we cannot process this gas and are importing at inflated rate. This is the root cause of gas wahala and not just Russia/Ukraine war.

one thing we must understand is that what is happening is not peculiar to Nigeria alone , even in Europe people are demonstrating against their government for increasing high cost of living , sri lanka economy has totally totally collapsed , the situation in ghana is becoming unbearable and likewise in so many countries around the world , ecuador , .
but despite all that , we cant use that as an excuse for our nation bad leadership and governance .

By gas the ops means cooking gas especially.

Nigeria is a oil rich state yet our income can't handle the international inflation of gas.

It's fools like you that make corrupt and lacklustre govt flourish.
Why does a oil rich state have to depend on international pricing if not that we have myopic leaders?
The FG is only subsidising their pocket. This same Buhari told us subsidy was a scam .Hes been the Minister of petroleum for 7 years now and also paying the subsidy. The FG claimed to pay subsidy and yet we pay one of the costliest price for gas whether cooking or petrol .
We ought to be benefitting from the invasion of Ukraine with the gas deposits beneath our soil.Alas! Since we are being ruled by parochial leaders and absent minded followers like you who doesn't even know what they deserve.
Instead of making excuses for a clueless government why not just read comment and move on

Even though I see pockets of sense in your response here but I am still gonna say that your sarcasm & sense of know-it-all is huge bullshit, next time be civil & don't attack someone unnecessarily for airing a valid opinion. Whether you believe it not, January this year, regular family size loaf of bread was 350 Naira but today, it's 800 Naira. Should I talk about the prices of eggs & yam etc etc? The point my guy is trying to make is that prices of basic things are soaring with great speed to an extent regular earnings & even side hustles can't catch up so if u give us reason why gas is astronomically high cost-wise, we expect u as Mr know-it-all to also explain that of every other thing that is equally soaring in our markets. And it's only a responsible man will complain when feeding his children proves difficult not an irresponsible man so my guy is highly responsible but if u think he isn't, that's your own opinion & it holds no water.

Is the Ukraine-Russia war affecting on Nigeria in Africa because even neighbouring West African countries who are not even petroleum producing nations are still selling gas far cheaper than what its been sold here, I just returned from Togo last week and also made a stop at Cotonou to see a friend where I ended up spending two days. Things are not as bad as they're in Nigeria down there, please Nigeria is a petroleum producing nation for crying loud.

You called the guy being alarmist because he complained about the high price of gas. You referred the high price to the Ukraine war. The Ukraine war that just started yesterday is where you are putting your excuses of gas high price. Let me ask you , is Nigeria importing gas too. Are we buying from Russia like other European Nations. Please stop this nonsense trying to defend the undefendable. Nigeria is bless beyond measure when it come to LPG. there is no reason for gas price to be hike in Nigeria because we have it abundantly. This government is just too wicked and lazy. If you go to oil flow station site. this gas is been waste away by flaring. By now a reason government would have think a better way to put the flaring gas into a proper domestic use. Buhari government is the worse in the history of this country

Gas itself , due to the deleterious effect of its combustion CO2 emision on our climate, will one day be phased once we perfect the renewables.

N:B To those screaming we have gas in Nigeria, let me remind you that between the gas underground and your kitchen is a lot of billions of USD investments and those who made the investment can not keep subsidizing your gas consumption endlessly especially when they have willing buyers and international contracts that pay more of the scarce forex our country currently needs.

Banking on gas subsidy after you enjoy petroleum and electricity subsidies that our folks in the villages do not enjoy is an unjust ungodly welfare system to kill those poor villagers who are not enjoying your privileges of electricity, petrol and now gas subsidy but picking your bills and social costs while you feed fat on resources govt could use to give them basic amenities like pipeborne water; clinics, security, standalone solar generators etc.
FG must never subsidize gas. Get creative and responsible. Kill this lazy youth with entitlement mentality tag of yours.

Kerosene in Nigeria is 1000 naira per litter and you use 1liter per day for an average family.

Where did you see coal available in Nigeria?

Put your education to good use and stop being an antagonist to people feeling the heat of oppression by APC. government.

Oga, coal is everywhere

Your education is even more wasted if you cannot realize that we have gas in Nigeria unlike most western countries experiencing price hikes. We are in same category as major gas producers like Venezuela, Saudi Arabia, Kuwait, Angola and Russia.
Gas is something forefathers used to sacrifice to the gods for just to get spillout cleaned up from their water. Today we cannot process this gas and are importing at inflated rate. This is the root cause of gas wahala and not just Russia/Ukraine war.

Nigeria Is the only Nation In the world filled with "illiterate Ignoramus Professors" Education kill all the FoOooLish Scammers..

Prices of goods and services have changed a bit but Nigeria's case is extremely abnormal and Wicked.
I personally know Nations in Africa where things have slightly changed but not close to what is in Nigeria.

Even Nations that import gas in Africa are selling way below Nigeria's price.
