Which of the Obasekis? If you are talking about the Edo state governor, I am not sure that he was involved in the emergence of Atiku's candidacy. In fact, delegates loyal to him were not allowed to vote in the primary. It was delegates loyal to Dan Orbih/Wike that voted.
I actually had doubts about the article when I read that part.

They know it is the turn of the south.whenever it is the turn of the south,the north usually sabotage any northerner.before now majority of northerners called for power shift to the south just like in 1993,1999,2004,2011.if you even looked at both primaries,a large number of northerners supported wike.he was sabotaged by the south.most apc leaders up north supported southern presidency which means that they want power to come south.
