Ajagbe Lawal Life after Governor's Mansion: Tinubu vs Obi, who is looting the system

See what Bola Ahmed Tinubu collects from Lagos State Government since leaving office in 2007 by the law passed by him as Governor:

1. 300% annual salary as severance package as approved by RMAFAC.
2. 100% of annual basic salary of incumbent Governor as salary for LIFE even after leaving office.
3. Six new cars every 3 years
4. A new house in Lagos, minimum 5 bedroom
5. A new house in Abuja or any other location, minimum 5 bedroom.
6. Free medical care for him and members of his family for life.
7. Entitled to cooks, stewards, Gardners, and domestic staffs, all pensionable.
8. 300% of his annual basic salary as Governor every 2 years as furniture allowance
9. 100% of annual basic salary as Governor as his house maintenance allowance
10. Two DSS officers, 1 female officer for his wife and eight policemen to guard him.
11. 25% of his annual basic salary for Personal Assistants.
12. 30% of his annual basic salary for car maintenance .
13. 20% of his annual basic salary as utilities maintenance.
14. Pensionable drivers, no limits to the number.

But See what Peter Obi collects from Anambra State since leaving office as Governor:

1. No gratuity
2. No pensions
3. No houses
4. No cars
5. No allowances of any kind
6. No maintenances of any kind.
7. No personal assistants paid by the State.
8. No domestic staffs paid by the State.
9. No aids sponsored by the State.
10. Not even pure water.
11. No shishi from the State.

So choose you today who means well for Nigeria and who will serve the people selflessly.

I thought it right to expose these for you to know these people and their values.

It is now the decision of yours to make and to convince others if you may on who means well for the citizens.

Please go and verify the foregoing.

Vote and support wisely.

He said we can’t have a system that allow corruption while on the other hand have EFCC to curb the corruption.

He advised the best way to curb this is to set up mortgage system such that the people can pay in installment with FG working alongside the lenders to see that people can have access to such loans. With this, a civil servant don’t need to steal to afford cars and etc.

In Lagos, this is in practice with Lagos HOMS. The FG just need to back the banks with some security that can help them mitigate against defaulters that may arise.

Credit system works better in a highly industrialized system with high productive capacity. Imagine everyone buying Innoson cars on credit how will he run the business and pay staff salary.

Besides, credit is not just given anyhow, you have to be credit worthy to access credit.

I keep saying that this man is way smarter than his counterparts running for this election, including the arm chair wannabe economist called Peter obi.
Not just credit but cheap ,single digit credit for consumption and businesses.
A cash based economy is recipe for corruption and stunted economic growth.

So this is the only thing you can contribute on this thread?

Why is it confusion? I’m waiting for your reply.

Buhari shut Tinubu away from power and Remi Tinubu even complained about that. You can only advise the president, it is left to him to accept or ignore.

Even Osibanjo shut him away. Did he write an open letter to complain about how things were going?

It is no doubt that Tinubu will bring his administrative acumen to bear. It's no coincidence his academic brilliance graduating with honours and his mental capacities in both private sector and as an executive Governor.
At this critical time, we need someone with a policy that would bridge the gap between the rich and the poor and create more average class households.

Meanwhile, a certain fraud says infrastructures does not drive the economy.
He is not mentally prepared to deliver any of those things he did in the past.
Nigeria is not Lagos. A huge time in his government will be spent curbing insecurity and chasing corruption
We should not be carried away by any of his achievements in Lagos. Lagos alone has the power of 26 states in Nigeria alone.

He should worry about his health and you stop selling your future.

Sounds progressive!!! But how do we migrate to a credit economy without further crashing the Naira??

Such sophisticated economy is perfect for us as a country if only we have proper circulation of money to all the different societal classes.(which can only work when the employment security is stable)

How long will it take you to pay 4 million naira when minimum wage is 30k??

For instance, we know that there's a huge difference between the rich and lower classes, will a credit economy succeed in a country that 80% of it's wealth is in the hands of 10% of the population.

Kudos to Jagaban though, that's true insight. We can't get that from Atiku.

Tinubu is a thoroughbred politician. You don’t write condemnable open letter against your own party.

He can get it across to Buhari in private and Buhari can choose to discard it. Why write open letter when he can get it to Buhari privately to achieve same thing?

No that's not brilliant, is it necessary to borrow before we can achieve great things. His economic plan will be just like the America economic lifestyle of which her citizens will never be free of debt.
To curb corruption, reduce the rich and the poor people gap, make every penny worth the work it's earned for, cut inflation and see to every one doesn't live above his income

Is this the best of Tinubu? Unfortunately he's saying gibberish even after all the editing.

How would someone earning 100k afford ro pay back a car loan of 3.5 million?

Even with a credit system. It will take 100% of his salary for over 2 years to pay for the car.

Which lender will agree to such a deal?

BTw Nigeria already has a credit system. Loan apps like Carbon and Branch use it.

The next president should focus on increasing local production to strengthen the naira.
So that car of 3.5 mil can go back to the 1.5 mil it was sold 7 years ago.

TINUBU HAS NOTHING TO OFFER.

What you wrote here doesn't make sense at all!

You have successfully killed the other candidates as well grin grin. For Obi, Anambra is not Nigeria, even worse it does not have the same weight as Lagos hence it would be way over his head. For Atiku, it is a matter of principle, he's older than Tinubu, a Northerner which would mean 12 years of continous Northern rule and a person must be exponentially bad if the likes of Obasanjo made sure he had no chance of contesting.

When we criticize or argue, let's make sure we do so objectively, if this was an advanced country, your points basically means none of the candidates are qualified which renders your premise illogical!

No be person wey get job de get good credit system? Abi who wan give you good credit when you are jobless? First of all tackle the issue of unemployment then other things can follow. How can you tackle the issues of unemployment? First tackle insecurity, electricity issues, accessibility to good roads and then good policies for investors both local and foreign. Because all over the world, government doesn’t create jobs, they lay out the policies that will favour private businesses which creates jobs both directly and indirectly.

You never talk about solving those major problems and you are already jumping to the credit systems.

Na only people wey no know about credit system u go de tell those nonsense, because you must count 1 before you count 2.

No be only credit system. Out of over 200million Nigerians how many of them are gainfully employed? Does Nigeria even have job security?

If first bank employ you and all of a sudden they do their normal retrenchments, but oga don go rush use vehicle finance buy car, once you are out of job and can’t pay up, the financier will reposes their vehicle ooh, and you will loose out both the ones you have been paying and the car.

You end up saying nonsense.

Why can’t the few that are employed have access to mortgages easily? Even if you employ all Nigerians, there will still be a need for mortgage.

You have civil servants and private sector workers that get paid monthly, can’t you service those for now with mortgage and then continue with your drive of curbing unemployment?

Both can be done simultaneously.
