Nigeria,

A country where proven public service failures stand up to lecture others who had made a success of both their private and public lives. Fashola should be ashamed of himself for talking about economy even while his government has collapsed under economic woes.

You really cannot use infrastructure to grow the economy, what Fashola failed to mention was that the millions of liters of gas used to build the bridge were imported, at a very negative balance of trade for a country that has gas under its soil? Most of the other materials and manpower are also imported, benefiting foreign countries. The number of expatriate workers in JB will amaze you, with thrice that number serving them as cooks, gardeners, drivers and security men. Loss of foreign currency.

You grow the economy organically, by improvements in the GDP, creating enabling environment with power supply (an area Fashola failed woefully) and making sure more people work and exchange goods and services, not to talk about tax. APC keep proving everyday that they are passers by in the corridors of power.

Vote for Peter Obi.

He will make Nigeria so rich and prosperous that the likes of Fashola will relocate to Jamaica to hide their faces.

You believe in your brain that Obi has achievements more than fashola just because Fashola didn't use state money to build his family business like Peter Obi that used Anambra State money to build his family business? Same way you guys called Atiku investor without knowing he collected government infrastructure investment dubiously , in a working system Obi should be in prison for conflict of interest. And breach of public trust. Peter Obi lack capacity to rule Nigeria hence he is campaigning like LGA chairman. Fashola is miles away from Obi liar.

What are the economic advantages of the railway systems Nigeria borrowed money to build? Trillions of naira wasted there.

Do you know that the annual maintenance budget of those trains pass the revenue it generates?

Infrastructure is a necessary, but not a sufficient condition for economic growth. The sufficient condition is the drive. It is just pathetic that we are still talking about infrastructure in the 21st century, and supposed policy makers take pride in its provision, and ignoramuses are applauding them. Where is the infrastructure in the first place?

All the economic laws, theories and policies are hinged on the premises of quality infrastructure availability. These politicians can only be reckoned with because the citizens are not well schooled and intelligent to critique all their manipulative political statements.

Their statements reek of beer parlour economics, like the above counter statement and that of corn, cassava and agbado to feed 50 million youths recruited to the army, thereby creating demand and consumption. And I asked, are demand and consumption not interwoven?

They are healthy and yet their positions show no true definition of what you claimed. Fashola was in charge of power, yet power failure became the chorus will sing every week concising falling of power grid, Osbanjo as the vp and the second man in charge yet hardship and poverty is gradually sending us to stone age and During Tinubu Mr billion vans tenure as Lagos State, all he did was to legalized area boys, almost in all bustop in Lagos are flooded with area boys shouting 'Owo mi da' including old men still claiming to be area boys. See what Soludo is doing in his state trying stop more youths from embarrassing area boys as occupation, but your hero made it as an occupation for majority of your youths turning them to his naked weapons

One major drawback of Obi is that he talks a lot and if you delve deep into what he is saying most times, it is hard to correlate his words into tangible solutions for the economy.

Furthermore, a lot of youths shouting Obi really do not even bother to critique his ideas or solutions. To them it is simply about being "Obidient"

Abeg obidient to what? Most don't even know.

Agreed...

But Obi is better than Tinubu and Atiku.

What are the economic advantages of the railway system which was funded with Chinese loans and how much do they add to the Gross Domestic Product?

Are you aware that the amount of money ey used in maintaining the railways is more than the amount of money generated in revenue? Which means Nigeria is running those railway system at a marginal loss.

Go and check the debt profile of ansmbra state at 2013 then compare with Lagos.

Listen to me, I don't do argument of sentiments and ignorance here, check my comments on Nairaland.

Now tell me how railways built by Ameachi have improved the economy?

I know what railways do to a country economy, as a means of transportation, railway is important because it facilities easy movement of raw materials and finished goods for the manufacturers and farmers alike.

When being developed, it creates heavy revenue for the state.

Now, has Nigeria benefitted the aforementioned since Ameachi bought coaches that travels from Abuja to Kaduna?

Go to countries like China and India and see how railways are being used. Today transporting a 100kg bag of rice from Adamawa state to Lagos state is more than 5000 naira, and they say we have railways, so what is the UAE of the said railways.

I doubt if you have entered these rail coaches because the last time I checked, only Abuja to Kaduna route is currently functional.
All this your people are talking take time and they will start from somewhere til all the rail Line connect together from north to south, we might not see the impact now but is very good to start somewhere, but the main problem now is curuption that will delay it and insecurities that can destroy the one they are building.

Blinded by sentiment.. If na PDP turn one dollar to 600 you and your family for don hang.. Shame on you because you failed to realised that Obi had operated in an economy that runs on less than 300 billion budget while fashola was handling 1 trillion.. The approval of excess funding for stealing going on in the country in the last seven years from snake swallow to bamboo and humans are not enough.. Your problem is that your indices for comparing living standard and growth are centred around what Nigeria gave you whereas your mate abroad are ahead of you 10000 times.. Shame
