Did you go to the hospital to see a nurse or a doctor?

Visita plus seems like a steroid, you shouldn't be using a steroid as a first like of treatment on a baby or on your skin. Go back to a better hospital and see a qualified doctor.

nairalanders, is it ok for a baby of 3 weeks old to use as body cream, is it safe at all, afterall i'm not a nurse.

I don't know you and I believe like u no suffer get that baby that I don't know y u keep on coming here asking 4 solutions instead of taking Ur kid to a good dermatologist,is a nurse a doctor,no matter how experienced the nurse is,she or he is not a doctor.

That was how my elder broda lost the baby,been a pharmacist don't make u a doctor,there is division of Labour,self medicated the baby till we lost her.

First off, I hope you took your baby to the hospital for a jaundice diagnosis to find out the serum bilirubin levels of the jaundice and how best to treat it.

If it's physiological, it can be treated with morning sun, if it's not, it must be treated by phototherapy and the serum bilirubin constantly checked every week.

Jaundice that's not properly managed can cause developmental delay even if the baby's eyes are white.

Please take extra caution with babies, always see a pediatrician and never self medicate or use these home remedies. Their organs are very fragile.

As for the rash, see a pediatrician. Steroids shouldn't be used on babies and if it must, it should be under the supervision of a pediatrician. The pediatrician will bear the risk.

The treatment of the rash will depend on what caused it so self medicating won't help you.

Please see a pediatrician or follow "Ask the pediatricians" on facebook for professional advice.

If you can prepare coconut oil yourself, you will see the miracle within a week . Its the best I used for my daughter back then. The only stress was its preparation but honestly it worth it..
But if you are the busy type, u can go to baby shop, ask for foreign smoothy or vegas..

I wouldn't know your babe, but when my baby was new born I started mixing visita plus with Ori together.... Just little quantity of visita plus and many quantity of shearbutter (Ori) , my brother it works like magic and my baby is 2, she has never for ones has rashes.
And I always use sudocream on a boombom

i was one of the few nairalanders who suggested you use unripe pawpaw soaked in water. I am happy your baby is doing great.
As for the rashes, please use BABY TRIBOTAN to rub your baby’s body as a daily cream till the rashes go. The cream is very effective and works perfectly

Oga looks like you were really unprepared or over whelmed with your newborns needs.
This baby less than one month shouldn't be seen by any oneelse but a licensed paed or Doc.
We can't tell what sort of rash it is and what triggered it.I really hope it won't be harsh on her.
Baby tribotan or sudocreme are easily recommended for infants in hospitals.

Just be careful with the experiments

Plant, use this. Google it, it's a common flower plant very effective for baby skin rashes, cook:, bath the child with it, give baby to drink also

Madam.. All you need is an organic original shear butter for your baby at this very infant stage.

You can ask others and they will tell you the power of this cream on babies.

There is this cream called Vegas, it has red cover very small, it used to be sold for #100 but now it's #150 or #200 it's used to smooth the baby skin, it's very much used by those who use napkins even some Pampers users too use it when the baby develop rash.

The skin absorbs everything you put on it. The vista plus is a steroid like most bleaching cream contains.
