Danthemariner:The current president has approved ports in Bonny Ibom Lekki Warri The FG does not have money and so those states have to go and work to find investors There is no point having a port that does not make money or that is losing money. This port is costing $1.5 billion are we to believe that with 13% derivation , Niger Delta Ministry, Niger Delta Development Commission that the Niger Delta states since 1999 could not have found money for a port? Ibori alone stole millions of dollars . We had Goodluck Jonathan there with Dieziani. They did not think they should build a port in the Niger Delta? The president cannot find money for a port. Unfortunately for the others Lagos has FIRST MOVER advantage and the others will struggle to compete The Niger Delta governors need to go and work with the NDDC and Niger Delta Ministry. I am sure they can find $1.5 billion if they work hard |

aribisala0: I pick out some important points from your writeup...state government need to take it upon them self to draw certain investment... For example i still don't understand how Niger Delta cannot pull funds to invest massively on this sea port, this will create millions of direct and indirect jobs accross Niger Delta... Ooh i forgot it the president fault right? Lol .. Spending state allocation on rubbish, building stupid flyover, Seriously i can count the number of jobs accross all Niger delta state.. Gosh!!!! Everyone running to lagos wen normally Niger Delta has water ways to creat jobs No one should bring the talk of government stealing their oils.. Only if u know the billions of naira Niger delta get through back doors with those oil... Fight your state government and representatives... I guess not only the president has issues the state government have been hiding under "it is the president fault for way too long |

obynzo: I'm from Ikorodu. But even if I'm not, we Yorubas are one and the same. Anybody can stay anywhere they like in SW. You can't compare yourself to a Yoruba person cos you're a bloody migrant from an unwanted tribe. |
Re: Lekki Deep Sea Port Receives 13 Brand New Cranes On Board First Cargo Ship by Nobody: 10:51am On Jul 03, 2022 |
SugarGirl44: You have confessed indirectly that you are not from Ikorodu and by extension Lagos. That is the easiest lies to make claim Ikorodu. Madam go back to your SW state. And so far I am from Nigeria I am not a migrant if I am a migrant then you are also a Yoruba migrant to Lagos you. Your lineage are unwanted in Lagos too |

CalabarPikin: Oga rest, this largely a State Government Project through PPP. Akwa-Ibom has been budgeting money in their yearly budget for Ibaka- Deep Sea Port since 2008 and the money embezzled. |

Re: Lekki Deep Sea Port Receives 13 Brand New Cranes On Board First Cargo Ship by aribisala0(m): 7:30pm On Jul 04, 2022 |
TheDemola:The same way other exporters not currently using the Deep Sea Port will key into it when it comes on stream The same way people using the first Niger bridge will use the second one when it is commissioned Nothing profound in your question Dangote will use the port when it becomes functional .and the fertilizer plant will almost double its output in a few years It will have container processing equipment that will have faster throughput, moving containers at a quicker rate .That is what these cranes are all about Bigger Vessels will berth at the port than at any jetty and so ultimately the Port will mean more throughput, more tonnage in less time at cheaper freight |

Zeezenho: It's a Public-Private Project initiated by the Lagos State Government with private investor while the FG through the NPA has a very minimal shares in her capacity as the regulator of Ports Operations in Nigeria
