I’m a newbie and I just register on the Uber platform, which is better, Uber or bolt( although I haven’t register on bolt) and any advice for a newbie?

Go for Uber, you will go from ikosi to pick someone at Oshodi and drop the person at Ikorodu because you won't see where you are heading to.

okay do you mean Uber platform is better? I’m actually staying in ikorodu, where do you think I can always go for orders?

I mostly give sarcastic comments here cos that's the only way someone will intend to give you a genuine response. That being said Bolt is better than Uber because of shorter pick ups and you see where you're heading to.

Master Bolt first then try Uber, you will now understand why the difference is the taste

After 2 stops. I finally reached this rider’s destination.

Rider: Please what’s your account number?

Me: you don’t have cash?

Rider: No.

Me: Well, I don’t accept transfers because I don’t get alert. You will…

Rider: cuts me off. Please give me your account number.

Me: 00579…..

Rider: it’s done!

Me: Well, until I see the alert it is not done.

10mins no alert.

20mins no alert. At this stage I don central lock my doors with her friend inside.

Rider: please give me your account number again

Another long wait. No alert.

Rider: can I give you my phone number. If you don’t get it you can call me.

Me: Madam, I don’t need your phone number. I need my money.

Rider: I’ve sent it 4 times.

After all the back and forth. The mf rider had to miraculously pull out cash from her purse and paid.

It’s been more than 5hrs since that ride. I never see any alert.

An ojodu would have foolishly collected her number and rush to the next ride. Only to come lament on Nairaland with audio curses.

Good morning, boss.

By the time your own the car both you and the car would have grown old grin (older at least 3yrs to your age and car ) then you start fixing spare parts and your body too.

I don’t know how veterans did it or ehailing is not just for me.
How can you drive upandan Lagos 3yrs+ and not grow grey hair

HP and rental na long thing... same trenches

For me, I think its not just okay to just be driving upandan like that for three years. The money you make start something immediately so you don't even need to rely on driving to pay your HP deals. After a year, the investment you have should at least assist you in paying for your HP even if you do not drive. I'm happy Felicity is leaving the hustle soon in less than 12 months of driving. Its great news. The hustle for me is not a long term thing. There are businesses you can invest in that will bring good returns if one know what he's doing the problem most of the time is funding.

HP and Rental are both long thing, wetin person go come do to own a ride of his own when he's not financially buoyant to buy outright? embarassed
Well, I just feel a man sacrificing 1 and half or 2 years to own a car is not much or unreasonable, as long as the ride would definitely become his.
And whether Rental or HP, person wey dey use car go maintain and spend on it.
Whether HP or rental, we as humans go still have health stunts that would require we take care of ourselves.
HP or rental still better than duping people around or involving in any illegal deals, or even roaming around the street when there's no other option to own your own ride.
If there's any other sure legal way, guy man go take am.
Man wey no lazy go chase him goal by the means he has before him.
And who dey do HP 3 years? lipsrsealed
Any HP wey pass 15 months, or max patapata 18 months, I no fit put my hands, NEVER!
I fit pay a good and nice naija used car within 12 months if I see. Who 36 months help?! That one na suicide mission.
24 months self, I no fit put my hands.
Inside life.
Much respect, boss.

If you want to chop bolt bonus easily, start driving early morning like 8am and go straight to any part of island. Let your target be that you will achieve this bonus target before 6pm. If you're still chasing bonus in the night, bolt will do ojoro for you.
You come dey chase bonus on mainland grin you go hear am. Mainland is fcked due to roads that government dey spoil all in the name of infrastructure.
Na mainland I dey chop my daily bonus before, but difficult now cos of bad roads and traffic, cos there's no way you no go cancel ride request.
Much respect, boss.
